a lovely story

I think this book found me when I needed something to smile at. I'm glad it found me when it did

Loved the story. This would be a great series

The story kept wanting me more.
This is relatable in so many aspects. Can’t wait for more of the author’s books.

Meh

The writing itself was average, and the story was predictable. At times it felt like the author couldn’t decide whether the plot was supposed to be about current social issues like gender inequality in the workplace, unaffordable healthcare, racism, gentrification, etc., or whether it was supposed to be a romance novel. My personal preference isn’t to hear graphic descriptions about kissing and foreplay, but that may appeal to other listeners. All in all, I managed to listen to the entire book, but it’s not one I would recommend to my friends.

Sweet Story and Excellent Performance

This was a very sweet novel that addresses so many issues Latinas face living in the US. I was surprised to hear the mention of the RGV, since that’s actually my birthplace. Beautiful story with tragedy woven within hope, it was exactly what I needed. Thank you. 🖤

alright of a book

This audible/book was OK, predictable. It was a good story and narrator did a good job with the voices.

Never Adios

The beauty of life is to try to live it to the fullest. As humans we tend to dwell on the hardships instead of celebrating the good. Annette was so great at forcing us as listeners to slow down and think about what choices we are making..

I really enjoyed this

I enjoyed the characters, and all the interesting backgrounds they brought to the story. I really enjoyed Gabby and Diego’s relationship.

Valley Girl Narration Grated

Maybe I'm just too old, but maybe the lead character is too. She is a very whiney and immature for a 29 year old. Tried my hardest to get into it but finally gave up.

Delightful

The story and behaviors were all too common in my childhood. It was nice to hear them put into a story that I could relate to.
