The book I didn’t know I needed!

This book couldn’t have come across me at better time. Half way through, I had already recommended it to my bestie, my nieces, & shared on my social media. Though I grew up in an old school Mexican American family, I still share many of the same experiences as the author. I come from the days of “children are to be seen and not heard,” and boy did that make it difficult for me to speak up for myself throughout my life. Breaking generational “curses” for my son’s sake has not been easy, but I will continue to do so not only for him, but for the generations to come! This book reminded me that I am not walking this journey alone thanks to the many women in my family who lead the way; I will continue to learn, grow, and SPEAK UP!
