Great even on relistening, but...

I listened to the whole thing up to this point before it was published (Youtube narration channels). Still, even knowing the broad strokes this was worth returning to.

The story is great, and my only complaints come from the repeated stat/skill updates. Whether at the beginning, end, or middle of a chapter they are just as jarring now as they were pre-publish. This is a common issue in the genre but I really do wish they were seperate chapters as most boil down to "MC gained a new skill" or "the thing you just listened about for 20 minutes was rewarding", and the handful of changes is not worth fully listening to his full stat block to hear every time.

I like the pace of this series as well as the way it holds my attention.

Great addition to the series

Even better than the last one, this series definitely has something special. This one has nice dynamics with nobles internal and external to the kingdom where Ajax is from and has some very nice dungeons and fights! Loving it! I’m bad at leaving reviews, so the only thing I can say is that I will for sure be continuing the series
