I waited so long for this book..

What a disappointment. Waaay too long, Langdon is feeble, Katherine is soo naive and I stopped caring about any of it about halfway through. I took the speed up to 1.2 just to get through to the end.

The biggest glaring issue is the protagonists walk through a high security area like they were a shopping in Macys. No cameras, no monitoring of entrances - really?

Could have been edited

Too long and wordy. Not as good as the other books have been with less action and more speeches.

Over my head

I loved the plot and wished it focused more on the plot and less on the science. I got lost and found it hard to stay focused on what was being said.

Mind blowing

Dan brown doesn’t disappoint. I listened to this non stop for 2 days. The ideas here are revolutionary

A heavy slog

I’m sad to say this was not the escape from our political situation I was hoping for. Of course, I guess that feeling like Sisyphus pushing a boulder uphill is, at least, some kind of distraction. Ridiculously complex, shallow characters, sigh. Out of stubbornness I’m determined to finish it, but what a chore. 🤪😵‍💫

Fascinating read

Dan Brown hits another one out of the park with this fascinating novel addressing a topic that has captivated people for ages.

Finally….but also too clean (Spoilers)

It feels very much like the other Robert Langdon books. I’m glad certain aspects of his life are coming together, but the ending was too cleanly wrapped up. Still, I’ll probably read/listen to it again so I give it five stars. The narration was on point as always!

The Lost Symbol II?

If you’re a fan of the Lost Symbol (my personal favorite) you will love this one. A few hours in and Paul Michael’s superb voice has got me hooked once again. Kudos Mr Brown. You are my favorite author and Langdon is my favorite superhero…

I waited for this???

To sum up in a word? WEAK. The story, the characters, the motivation, weak. Nothing in this book stood out and I actually had to increase the speed so I could get through the whole thing. Do not waste time.
