Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon face a ghost ship, deadly assassins and a threat from Cabrillo’s own past in their race to stop the launch of the world’s deadliest machine in this electrifying new entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling series.

There’s a tempest brewing in Central America. A government crackdown on cartels leaves most of the drug lords locked up in an impregnable prison. In response, Amador Fierro, a brilliant, tech-savvy crime boss forges the seven largest cartels into an allegiance called La Liga. If they are to defeat the U.S. led offensive, they will need a powerful weapon. Thus is born Project Q: an Artificial General Intelligence computer that, when finished, will grant Fierro such overwhelming control of America.

Chairman Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon are the only ones standing in his way, but they have their own problems. While two members of the team are unreachable in the Darien Gap searching for an Iranian Quds Force base, the Oregon crew have a mole in their midst. Meanwhile, other dark forces are at play, competing for the all consuming power at hand.

The race to stop the launching of Project Q will come down to the wire, but it’s a race neither Juan Cabrillo, nor the western world, can afford to lose

Mike Maden channeled Clive Cussler Amazingly and as Always, Scott Brick brought it to life with his world class narration. Clive would be pleased.

Awesome Book

I am a fan of the Oregon stories and was a little disappointed at the last story written by Mr. Maden. His depiction of Juan Cabrillo wasn't in line with the character created by Clive Cussler. However, I enjoyed this one much better.

Much more character-accurate than the last Mike Maden Oregon book

I love this series and always wish there could be more of them, but after flying through some indie novels where authors publish a few a year! the depth and suspense of this book was worth the wait!

outstanding, great twist at end!

Pretty close to what Cussler would write.
I’ve read all of his books over the years.
I’m so glad that the sea adventures have continued.

Great ending!

This non-stop action-adventure fiction almost reads like current events! Yikes!
Despite the complicated story lines needed to cover all the crew members’ activities, this new adventure from the Oregon Files comes together in the end. Thank you Mike Madden for continuing to keep Clive Cussler’s characters true to form! And also to Scott Brick for voicing them consistently!

Oregon Files doesn’t disappoint!

I understand that this is a work of fiction, but I was not expecting so many elements that appear to echo Trump-era misinformation. Mike Madden’s political leanings are evident, and unfortunately the Oregon crew feels overshadowed by a strongly partisan narrative. If you’re looking for an escape from current political realities, this installment is unlikely to provide it.

Trump Propaganda 101

Too many story lines. Too much time spent on describing how things work. I have followed the Oregon files from book 1. This one is not up to standard of others.

Disappointing

Too many story lines it was confusing I didn’t enjoy - becoming too far fetched to be believable

Confused

Still listening - Scott Brick's narration is outstanding. But, there are multiple stories and I may have to take notes so I can keep them straight.
