Exactly the kind of plot I've been looking for to pull me out of my slump. The only thing that slightly pulled me out of the story was the female performance of Zahariev and the male performance of Zahariev were quite mismatched. Otherwise, loved everything about this book and I CANT WAIT to get the next part of their story.

Intriguing, sexy, and empowering

Scarlett has done it again! Lilith is the patriarchy-toppling, take-no-shit, feminine protagonist we all needed in this current climate.

Incredible world, amazing characters

Absolutely incredible read! Scarlett St. Clair has done it again – she’s created a world full of depth and intrigue and lust and pure love, that’s also full of action and adventure. I was completely captivated by Lilith and utterly undone by Zahariev (I mean… seriously…). Lilith is such a force, and yet she has the capability for such love and vulnerability which was so nice to see in a FMC. And Zahariev, I mean, the undying love and faithfulness this man has inside of him.. WOW. The buildup was amazing and the ending completely mind-blowing – I honestly don’t know how we’re going to wait for book two!! On top of all of that, we got a cast of amazing side characters, and a fury little friend. Highly recommend!

It took some getting used to for me to fall in love with Zahariev's voice actor, but once I learned more about the character himself, it fit perfectly. Lilith's voice was perfection from the start!

This freaking book!

Chefs kiss! New interesting plot, narrated by my absolute favorite Laura Horowitz. One of my very few five star reads this year.

Holy shit…

If you’re looking for a refreshing fantasy book with biblical lore, witches, magic, slow burn romance and found family wrapped up in the most traumatic string of events you can think of, then this is for you. I won’t lie when I say I sobbed listening to this book. The narration is absolutely perfect!

Mesmerizing

Scarlett is a storyteller like no other. The narrators did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life.

I always love anything Scarlett writes. However, I was nervous going into this one because I typically don't like religious based things but I know Scarlett's work and she never fails to write a powerful fmc l. That being said, this book doesn't disappoint. And that covers art??!! 🥵👏👌✨ STUNNING.

Best slow burn since ACOTAR

Love how the actor writes and her POV’s were great. Loved the narrators that was icing on the cake.

I loved this setting and characters!

This world is very interesting! And I loved finding new allusions and references to christianity and Sin sity. Looking forward to listening to the next part!

MMC VA needs some work

Literally only here to review the performance. The story was A+ for me.

I swear the Male VA changed his mind on how he wanted Zahariev to sound. I hope that he hones in on one way moving forward bc if there’s one way to take a reader out of a story it’s sounding different from chapter to chapter. Even the way he says his own name is in contradiction to the rest of the way he would sound for that character. The female VA did well. She would say Zahariev differently which I would pick up on but hey I’m that kind of listener I guess, I need consistency.
