The Pinapple returns.. This book is so much fun. I absolutely love these characters! Bennett and Cat are so toxically amazing for each other! I recommend for anyone who loves a dark Romcom! Fits of giggles, spice, and serial unalivers!

Book #2 Slaycation series

This series is phenomenal. It’s dark humor and spicy. The characters are absolutely fantastic. The banter and story is very entertaining.

Bennet is sort of the group outcast or group “clown” as they all sort of pick on him but with good humor and they mean no harm. He’s grumpy and sort of a jerk but he finds himself softening for one women in particular. The one he tries to annoy the most.

Cat is a serial killer fan and want to be. She is determined to get that first kill this time around and to kiss her crush Maverick. However, things take a major turn and I was absolutely here for the ride.

This group of characters are a joy to read and get to tag along for their stories. I loved every minute.

Lauren usually right very dark content and this is dark but it is lite dark romance. There is dark aspects but it’s high on humor and spice. I can’t recommend this series enough!

This is what a dark rom com should be!

When my Gen Z daughter and her friends used the term “No Notes”, I’ve always thought it was trite and a bit annoying. Now I stand corrected because I actually have no notes for the lovely Lauren Biel after this audiobook. The Dark Romantic Comedy sub genre is 1000% my jam. There is dark humor, a little danger and super spicy bits. It’s like all of my favorite things at once. Slay Ride is a just what a dark rom com should be and because it is Lauren Biel she just had to push the boundaries of anything that might be considered good taste with a scene involving a turkey leg going where no poultry has ever gone before.
If that isn’t enough to sell you on this book, you have an amazing full cast performing this story and bringing it to life at its hilarious best. Alexis Paige is the perfect combination of high strung, yet down to earth, innocent yet kinky. She makes Cat impossible not to love. Sean Masters really has so much fun with Bennett. He is still the class A jerk we met in Sinners Retreat but now we get to see the person beneath it all, who actually cares about a few things very deeply. And they are not all foods he wants to have his way with.
Can’t wait to dive into Ship Happens next.
