Well narrated.

Gianna and Drake work together - he's a former NFL player with a sports podcast. Gianna has a kind of advice podcast called "Gianna Knows Best".

She really has a strong personality, but she also believes that love is a choice, and that you can choose to fall out of love just as easily as in love. Drake thinks she just makes bad choices in men, but he's not sure why. So he issues her a challenge, to date him for 6 weeks - because he's had feelings for her for a while and just wants a shot.

Gianna has emotional scars from her growing up years - her parents died when she was 19, but they weren't supportive even before that. As the days turn into weeks in the dating experiment, she starts to question and understand why she's always resisted giving in to falling in love.

Well Written, Well Narrated, and Easy to Love

“Try Me” by Adriana Locke is a slow-burn romance, but the pacing is so well done that it never feels slow. Locke has a way of pulling you into the story with ease, and this one felt refreshingly different from what is typically out there.

I especially loved that this book follows a close group of best friends instead of the more common team or sibling dynamic. That choice added a unique layer to the story and made the characters feel more authentic and engaging.

The narration is excellent and really brings out the best in both the plot and the characters. I also recommend reading the series in sequential order for the best experience, though it is not absolutely necessary.

One helpful note: if you search for “Try Me” in the Audible library and it appears unavailable, try typing the title directly into the search bar. It may still show up that way.

Gianna & Drake

Try Me is a magnificent, captivating, unputdownable must-read! Chef's Kiss! Sparks fly between Gianna & Drake. Their 6-week dating challenge is incredible & their chemistry is off the charts. I felt all their happiness, fear, excitement, and longing. I highly recommend you picking up this sweet, sexy, emotional, angsty, and swoon-worthy love story. All of it effortlessly woven together to make for one addictive read that I never wanted to end. I am hoping we get Evie, Elodie, Juni & Jory's stories after Audrey's.
 
Raven Wildewood & Tor Thom do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions, attitude and personality. They do more than giving their characters their voices, they fall into the roles and become the character. Seriously y'all need this book in your lives. 

Thank goodness the story is interesting, because the male narrator is making it hard to listen

Eww…..why does Tor Thom narrate for women like he does?!? He talks for them as if they are out of breath and slow. It’s really annoying me and it stinks because I really like Drake. Not even a fan when he reads as Drake. As for Raven, I think she’s a great fit, but think she speaks too low when narrating other women in the story. It’s close to her male voice.
I’m still in finishing the book. First date just finished and I’m loving the story. It’s entertaining, fun, and good chemistry. Just need to get past Tor Thom’s narration *eye roll*
