They reading was a delight
The narration was spot on! Very much enjoyed listening. I do get so frustrated with any story that ends the way this one did but at the same time the ending and way it was written is brilliant!

Disappointing Ending
The book is very slow to begin. I was bored for the first few hours. Then things start getting interesting and the book ends. I like the idea of the story but I wish it had gotten going quicker and that the ending had been more tidy.

LOVED IT, HATED IT!
I’m purposely posting this wishy washy review because I now understand the reviews I read before starting this book. They were often ambivalent. I can’t decide whether or not the feelings that flip-flopped back and forth were a bad thing. At one point the names and relationships got so confusing I started over. I have to admit that Snow had me fooled for a while. So I guess my final decision is that it was a horrendous story with an ending that was disappointing. Despite all that, I’m glad I listened.

Maddening
Narration was quite good. I felt let down at the end. It was a sad, quite disturbing story. Thankfully, no vulgar language. There is horrible child abuse. I would not read it again.

This is a horror story!
I recently discovered Caroline Overington and I love the format of these books. This was truly a horror story even though it was not presented as that. The format is a series of letters between a journalist and a female prisoner in jail. The first impression is that it's about the disappearance of a woman. But no!!!! It turns into a horror story instead. The relevance of the title does not surface until Chapter 24. I literally couldn't stop listening!

Did I miss something?
What was the ending? I’m hanging I want to know the rest. I found the story unfulfilling.
