Incredible book!!!

This series had me gripped! What a journey & fantastic blend of story lines. I will have an emotional hangover for a while after finishing this series.

Fabulous finish to this series

I was so happy with this book. The storyline and emotions were so well performed and the narrators did a phenomenal job.

SO SO GOOD!

I fitting end to Marcus, Teriana, Lydia, and Killian. Could not stop listening. Just so, so good.

So so good! It has all the things!

I have read a lot of good series in the past year, but this one is sooooo good! It looks like it would be about pirates, but that's not it at all. It has all the things: enemies to lovers, political machinations, good vs. evil, explorations of morality and what truly motivates people, oppression and rebellion, Roman- like military culture, supernatural powers, and really good world building.
Also good narration with 2-4 different narrators. It's 4.5 books (I haven't read the .5 prequel... Probably good, but not essential) and am about 12 hours from the end of the last one. It's probably 75 to 80 hours total, so not really that long, comparatively to some. The pacing is really good, too. I listen at 1.2x and have not felt much of a lull the whole time. Its all I can do to put this last book "down" today! 😆

Loved it

This was an amazing conclusion to the series I fell in love with. I enjoyed it so much that I’m sad it is over! The narrators were perfect I loved them all. They did such a great job. There was so much suspense throughout, with vivid detail, and attention to the raw emotions; I felt I was living it with them. Amazing series! My favorite!!

Brilliant

Holy Cow! what a ride! While not for the faint hearted, I find myself in awe of this series. The story, the symbolism, the performance!!! This book is the epic culmination of a story that could have happened anywhere throughout time. Strong characters, dynamic plot line, a touch of supernatural but not too much. The performance is outstanding! This author never fails me with the wisdom she includes in her stories!

Couldn’t put this one down!

I literally stayed up all night to listen to the last multiple hours of this one. I’m unable to share what I liked best without spoiling it for the readers/listeners who haven’t finished yet. The depth of the characters and internal and external struggles they have sucked me in! That, combined with having absolutely no idea how it would ‘really’ work out, made it the best ever. My favorite book in the series!

Best Finale Ever!!!

Absolutely devoured this series n especially this last book! epic ending, literal tears in my eyes multiple times. Danielle's writing is getting epic, this is my 3rd series of hers completed n I've enjoyed them all.

Worth the wait

I really enjoyed Scorched Earth - both the story itself and the audiobook performance. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is full of twists that kept me engaged throughout. By the end, I was sad it was over - I wanted more time in that world. I’d love to see what happens after the conclusion, because this book left me wanting to stay with the story just a little longer. A compelling and memorable read.
