Awesome Story & Narration🎧 Gripping & Intense!

I loved everything about this audiobook, from Maggie Cole’s wonderful writing style to the characters and storylines she created to the perfectly casted narrators who brought it all to life. This is my first book written by Ms. Cole and it will definitely not be my last, I hope more of her work comes to audio soon. I was drawn into her story right from the start, it captured my attention and held it the entire time. The characters are complex and well developed, they are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. The mafia world she created is fascinating, it is easy to follow who the major players are and where the main characters fall in the hierarchy and how they became to be players in that world. This book is Maksim and Aspen’s story, I their first encounter in Vegas, her friends, Skylar, Cora and Hailey, helped set it up and it turned out to be hot and steamy time together. Neither one thought or even planned on seeing the other again but call it fate or call it chance the two do wind up meeting again. He shows up for a meeting at her office to conduct business. I loved how everything plays out for these two, it was great to learn more about each. She had her troubles with her ex-husband and Maksim comes from and lives in a world of trouble. It was heartbreaking to hear some of his and his brothers history but it explains why he became who he is, ruthless. This is an awesome dark mafia romance novel, the story is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment. There is plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, action, thrilling and suspenseful moments and some hot romance. I am looking forward to what comes next in this amazing new series, need more of those Ivanov brothers, Adrian and hopefully Aspen’s friends. Maggie Cole thank you for this great story, it was entertaining, enjoyable and an unpredictable and emotional rollercoaster ride.


🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Sarah Puckett and Zachary Johnson are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They did an awesome job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them with their emotions and personality. They gave each character their own distinct voice voice making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. I loved how each took their characters role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I picture them to sound. Both were awesome with the different accents especially the Russian, Zachary Johnson perfected Maksim’s role and Sarah Puckett did the same for Aspen. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

this book was very interesting, it had a little bit of everything a crime family should be about. I like how it wasn't only about the crime life but also family and love. let's not forget about them steamy hot Scenes. talk about hot 🔥. the narrator did a really good job to . I just love Sarah Puckett.

Their Voices Made Me Melt!

Wow! I read Ruthless Stranger first, and was head over heels in love with Maksim and Aspen. Listening to them come to life with the sexy voices of both narrators raised it to another level! I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series, Broken Fighter!

Epic start to The Mafia Wars Series

Ruthless Stranger is the first book in the Mafia Wars series and once you read/listen the Prologue you will not want to stop reading this book until it is over! You will have to know what happens.

Maksim and Aspen (great name by the way) are everything and the fact that they can not deny their chemistry is amazing and what all couples wish for!

This is the perfect book to start off the Mafia Wars series and it will only make you want to get to know the rest of the characters in this world more!

Zachary Johnson and Sarah Puckett do an amazing job with the narration and their accents are on point! I loved being able to listen to the words after I had already read the book! I can’t wait to see what the other narrators have up their sleeve when it comes to their narration. I can only believe that as the series moves forward the rest of the accents and narration will be just as great!

Maggie Cole’s books never cease to amaze me when I read/listen to them and sometimes I feel like I can’t get enough! Do not miss out on this series starter!

Absolutely Amazing!!

I absolutely loved the audio of this book! I felt like I could picture everything playing out in my mind like a movie. The narrators did such an amazing job and I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next in the series! It was hot and steamy but full of action and drama as well!!

Great Book

P.S. READ RECENT POSTS!!!! IT DOES NOT LIST THAT WAY!!! FYI...35 years old, mother of two.. And this book still "gets" me. "Ride me"...all I have to say. I know others might say that this wasn't a great book for them, but honestly read them all. Female character did get on my nerves a little considering she is in her late 30s. b
But I do like listening about 30 to 40 year Olds than teenage lovers. Don't get caught in all the "bad" reviews. This has a really good story line/series. It has love/lost/drama that you are looking for. Honestly, this is my 1st review after about 100 books..I am glad I went ahead and listened to the book and the whole series.. I was leary at first due to some comments. Story line is great. Yes there is sex in the book but it's not a blown out porn fest. The narrators are great! I have heard Sarah Puckett on a few other books in my library and absolutely love listening to her. I will say as well as Zachary Johnson did on the main character, it was difficult a few times to listen just because of the accent, just like if someone in real life were speaking to you. So I suggest not to be doing to many things at once while listening...lol. I am intrigued at the ending, so I will now and go and listen to book 2. If you like Mafia Crime/Suspense/Romance. Try it out! Maggie Cole does not disappoint.

Good Listen

Aspen just got of a twenty year marriage where she was only wanted for her money. She is set up for her fantasy by her friends that led to two nights with a stranger she could never forget. Then she ran into the stranger and her life changed and would never be the same again. This book grabs you and makes you not want it to end.

Great series

Love this series. Great story line and narrations. Characters are well written and especially the male characters.

Mafia Wars Series

Ruthless Stranger - A Mafia Strangers to Lovers Romance (Mafia Wars, Book One) premise intrigued me and I looked forward to listening. I was drawn in at the beginning. Numerous questions, good character development, multiple supporting character's in the shadows, eminently steamy strangers to lovers romance told in dual pov. Unpredictable, fitting title, multiple russian mafia families at war. I was happy to get Aspen's and Maksim 's epilogue.

Narrator's Sarah Puckett and Zachary Johnson brought Aspen and Maksim's character's to reality. The narration was excellent and really made the audio shine.
