Love this series.

This series keeps getting better. And this book was another amazing installment. From the start you are hooked. And you get invested in these characters lives. They hold you captive, making you want to keep reading. And the narrators did an absolutely amazing job bringing Killian and Arianna to life. Their voices beautifully tell this story. And make the spicy scenes so much better.

Brutal Defender by Maggie Cole is an enemies to lovers dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Kelsey Navarro and Lance Greenfield. This is the eighth book in the Mafia Wars series. The book can be read as a standalone but the stories are interconnected.

I absolutely love Maggie's books! She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Killian and Arianna. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Deviant Hacker to be released on December 1, 2021 so I can get Declan's story.

Kelsey and Lance did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book you if you love arranged marriages, age gap romances, dark romances, mafia romances, or romantic suspense.

Brilliant

A must listen to book! I loved the Characters and story and the narrators brought the characters to life. I would highly recommend this series , I've suggested this book and series to many friends who also loved it!

Story that grips you from the start

This is a story that had me hooked from the very beginning. I mean, how could you not be interested when you hear that the #1 bachelor is being forced to get married??!! Killian O’Malley was told that he was getting married in a week. I mean, what kind of notice is that?!

And the kicker is, the woman that he has to marry is Arianna Marino. Boy is she a spitfire! She sure gives Killian a run for his money. She is a strong, independent woman who doesn’t take anybody’s shit and she sure isn’t going to start with Killian. They tend to butt heads a lot, which makes this book quite hilarious at times (and the narrators are perfect for those parts). There are many certain parts in particular (wedding confession, honeymoon to name a couple). Hey I don’t want to give away the entire book!!! 🤣🤣🤣 This is definitely a book you don’t want to miss out on!

Killian & Arianna

Brutal Defender is the latest book in the Mafia Wars series by Maggie Cole. For the first half of the book, I really saw Killian has a controlling jerk. But, the more he and Arianna got to know each other and get used to each other, that perception changed. Maggie Cole does a great job continuing with the story line that is carried all throughout the series. We are also introduced to a new mafia family, the Marinos! Maybe there will be a spin-off series???

Kelsey Navarro did a great job as always. I was blown away by Lance Greenfield's narration. I thought we did a great job with the accents of the different fellas in this storyline.

Brutal Perfection

Do I really have to wait another month? This was so so good! I will be reading and listening to them all while waiting for the next book. Love this series! How can we ever let go? I love how all the characters interact with each other from previous books!

Killian O'Malley and his rules 😍

absolutely loved everything about it. Irish and Italian is favorite combo and Maggie Cole delivered another dark mafia with age gap. Great story and the Characters were sometimes hilarious and others frustrating but all soo good, that's what I love about Maggie's series, you get all the feels and the hotness factor between two ho headed but I don't expect anything else by an Irish and an Italian 😂. Kelsey and Lance truly brought this story to life. one more thing....confession is not going to be the same for me😂😂😂 you'll understand when you get to that part 😉

Predictable

Killian ans Arianna make a good couple, but both need to grow up. Still worth the listen.
