Healing, wisdom, and pleasure 😌😍🙌🏼

Grateful for all the conversations and stories from phenomenal people. AMB’s charisma, facilitation, and embodied wisdom sustains your experience from start to finish. I was left with two key offerings: (1) I must be proactive about my fulfillment and pleasure - AND - of the people and spaces I frequent. It is essential our fulfillment and pleasure is rooted in healing, liberation, and love. (2) Books with multiple community features, songs, poetry, strategies, and invitations are so energizing. This audiobook energized me fully for the journey ahead ✨✨✨

Transformational

I had never conceived of pleasure in the many contexts the author examines it, not as a marginal element but as a central ethos AND telos.

Life changing

This has changed my whole view on life and how I approach being a change maker. I’ve always understood that loving yourself was a direct catalyst for being better to the world but this book explained it in so many different ways. I’m a pleasure driven person and finding balance but also not feeling shame has been hard.

I’d recommend for anyone going through a transformational journey trying to find yourself.

Also love Adrienne’s voice but I could’ve done without the singing and I know I’m terrible because it was a homage to our ancestors but yeah still no. (Disclaimer: I’m a Black woman)

Overall this was phenomenal. I’m going to go on to read emergent strategy

Eye opening

Made me realize the limits of my experience, not just in my journey but understanding the myriad of sexual expressions of pleasure, shame, self worth, power, desire, and most importantly self-worth.

Beautifully read for a storytelling format that varied from song to interviews.
