#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The unforgettable memoir by the late Virginia Roberts Giuffre, the woman who dared to take on Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell

“Make no mistake: this is a book about power, corruption, industrial-scale sex abuse and the way in which institutions sided with the perpetrator over his victims. . . . But it is also a book about how a young woman becomes a hero. . . . Important [and] courageous.” —The Guardian

The world knows Virginia Roberts Giuffre as Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s most outspoken victim: the woman whose decision to speak out helped send both serial abusers to prison, whose photograph with Prince Andrew catalyzed his fall from grace. But her story has never been told in full, in her own words—until now.

In April 2025, Giuffre took her own life. She left behind a memoir written in the years preceding her death and stated unequivocally that she wanted it published. Nobody’s Girl is the riveting and powerful story of an ordinary girl who would grow up to confront extraordinary adversity.

Here, Giuffre offers an unsparing and definitive account of her time with Epstein and Maxwell, who trafficked her and others to numerous prominent men. She also details the molestation she suffered as a child, as well as her daring escape from Epstein and Maxwell’s grasp at nineteen. Giuffre remade her life from scratch and summoned the courage to not only hold her abusers to account but also advocate for other victims. The pages of Nobody’s Girl preserve her voice—and her legacy—forever.

Nobody’s Girl is an astonishing affirmation of Giuffre’s unshakable will—first, to claw her way out of victimhood, and then to shine light on wrongdoing and fight for a safer, fairer world. Equal parts intimate and fierce, it is a remarkable narrative of fortitude in the face of depravity and despair.

Reseñas de la Crítica

“It will take years to unfurl the tentacles Epstein wrapped around finance, law, media and politics. But Nobody’s Girl floats free, self-assured and self-contained—a true American tragedy. The devastation is in the details.”
—Alexandra Jacobs, The New York Times Book Review

“Make no mistake: this is a book about power, corruption, industrial-scale sex abuse and the way in which institutions sided with the perpetrator over his victims. . . . But it is also a book about how a young woman becomes a hero. . . . A deft [and] smart book. . . . A clear-eyed and necessary account. . . . Important [and] courageous.”
—Emma Brockes, The Guardian

Nobody’s Girl feels like an act of defiance not just against those who terrorized her for so long but also those who, over the years, queried her version of events. . . . Giuffre doesn’t deserve our scrutiny so much as our admiration.”
The Telegraph (UK)

“By retelling the story from her own perspective, [Giuffre] cuts through the salacious details that became the stuff of tabloid headlines. . . and shows the reader the stark truth of who she was. . . . It is a personal triumph that she chose to speak up.”
The Observer (UK)

“Giuffre’s narrative conclusively eliminates all but the most unflattering explanations for Andrew’s association with Epstein. The book benefits greatly from Giuffre’s collaborator, the highly regarded American magazine journalist Amy Wallace. Wallace never overwhelms Giuffre’s voice, but her presence is clear in the journalistic rigor that underlies the text.”
The Times (UK)

This is what Queen Elizabeth II paid 12 million pounds to suppress. The book is gut wrenching and searing look into sexual trafficking

Gut wrenching

I loved the book, just wish we knew more names but I do get it, The men involved in this are rich and powerful and do not mind taking a life. People that haven’t suffered this kind of abuse may not get it. I have more respect for her after reading this, I’ve always been proud of her but this book was so raw and she is laying her life out there for all to see. RIP sweet Jen, there will be peace for you now!❤️

POWERFUL !!!!!!!

My heart breaks for Virginia and I’m so proud of her courage to share her story. I’m angered by the brazen abuse of power that pedophiles flaunt. They all deserve to be castrated and jailed. I hope everyone hears this story and is moved to take action in protecting children and being their voice to protect them. Thank you Virginia for writing this. Shame on all of the people involved in abusing girls ruining their innocence. Well written and even though it’s painful to hear about what evil exists and what they get away with, it’s important to be aware of it and to continue the fight against their crimes.

Courageous

Gutted. The world lost a fearless truth-teller. Virginia Roberts Giuffre tore through the walls of privilege and silence that protected predators for decades. Her story should haunt every newsroom and courtroom that looked away. Now the question isn’t who will speak truth to power; it’s who will finish what she started. No more deference, no more cover-ups. The powerful only fear exposure, so TURN ON EVERY LIGHT.

Must Read

I learned so much about the horrific act of sexual abuse and trafficking and the pain these young children and adults face and endure.

Kicking the door wide open to such a widely covered-up area of society

The life of Virginia Roberts Giuffre is a very harsh and unpleasant series of events, she was molested and worse by her own father from the age of 7 and he would loan her out to his friend, who also sexually abused his own daughter. This goes the way it often does, one abuser to another, being a runaway, being victimized time and time again, and she would be taken in by two seperate rich sex traffickers, one not as infamous, and the other is world news and the subject of intimate conspiracy theories. Virginia has the most personal account I've read (well heard in this case) of what it was like living on the Epstein estate, where she was for over two years.

I did learn some new things about the Epstein story, plenty of blanks I had were filled in, and other things were confirmed about his personality, I feel like he saw himself as a Hugh Hefner figure (and Heff was also a sexual predator.) The man saw nothing wrong with what he was doing, and had no interest in the subtext of the novel Lolita, that Humbert Humbert was the bad guy, and telling his story a desperate attempt to look like he wasn't a monster. The irony was lost on Epstein. And of course Ghislaine Maxwell is equally guilty of all the same crimes as Epstein, she was the one who approached young girls in public and recruited them for the "massage" job. She could publicly do the things Epstein couldn't get away with.

That being said, this is the life of Virginia. Around halfway through the book, she escapes and starts a family. But Epstein would come back in the news, and the investigations, trials, and things that would take decades to finally happen. This book doesn't exist for sensationalism, this isn't validation of political conspiracy theories, and she isn't outting names that aren't in court documents, because that would lead to so many lawsuits that the book would not get published. Keep in mind that Epstein didn't have total allegiance to one political party and what all these men had in common was their obscene wealth and influence. We've seen the names that were on some flight logs, but Epstein was obsessed with being around famous people, it doesn't mean everyone was having sex with minors, plenty of times, they were flying out of a charity event and sharing a plane.

She did meet and was in the same room as plenty of famous names, she briefly worked for Donald Trump and had some times where she was in a place where Bill Clinton was invited, but she personally wasn't hired to do anything with them, but you can definitely presume plenty of other girls, probably much younger were, but that isn't her story to tell. Prince Andrew is the most famous person she names and goes into a lot of detail with, she was hired to sleep with him 3 times, and she was the girl in the infamous photo with Andrew that went public. In most cases, it's saying what is legally allowed, like billionaire number three or a former governor, enough that they won't get sued into bankruptcy by some rich monster.

This book is a challenging listen with the cycles of abuse, these do often start at home, most child sexual abuse is from within the family. It's someone a child trusts that has the easiest access to them, it's not the political blood libel conspiracy theories of drag queens and trans people who magically can take kids anywhere and get away with anything. In most cases it's parents, uncles, siblings, cousins, friends of the family, clergy, teachers, or anyone else with authority and the ability to be alone with a child where people wouldn't raise questions. This isn't here to fuel Qanon or pizza gate nonsense, this is how child abuse usually starts and how it affects the rest of their lives. The trauma doesn't go away, and sexual predators know what to look for in selecting their victims, incest survivors are an easy target for these people.

While Epstein is dead, Maxwell is still in prison and hopefully never gets a Trump pardon, and Andrew has lost all royal ties, there are still dozens and probably more men who walk free and aren't known to the public, as well men we can clearly suspect of being guilty who are in government and buying elections. A lot of men will probably never be held accountable and they have a lot of reason to hide the Epstein documents, even make the FBI lie and lie again that what is publicly known didn't happen, because it would make powerful men look bad. This book is important because it shows the power survivors have, the victims of Epstein and Maxwell have been getting death threats for decades, and there are still powerful men who want their silence. Hopefully this book can lead to more victims coming forward and exposing their abusers when the federal government never will.

It's very important that this book exists

Sad that she didn’t live to see this published. I don’t believe that she killed herself.

Praying for peace for Virginia’s family. I truly hope that EVERYONE is held accountable for their disgusting actions. That includes EVERYONE that’s coving it up. Like ummmm the FBI?!

America is morally decayed. Little girls still are not safe.

Heartbreaking
