Wish I had this book years ago

When I started this audio book I just couldn’t stop listening. As a survivor of many years of sexual abuse I wished I had this book just for the understanding of some of my issues. I never really tried to find help and I always thought I was doing okay, this book opened my eyes.
I would recommend it to anyone and not just the abused but also a good read for friends, family or anyone who would like to know what could go on in our heads.

Journey of survival

I feel that anyone who has suffered from any type of abuse can follow the path of this book. This book hit close to home for me. Luckily in the years from this survivor’s ordeal, there is so much awareness and places to turn for those being abused, however it’s this type of book that can and will change many who read this book.

I cannot imagine the horror of physical, sexual and the psychological abuse she had endured.

Good book, shocking to read

I almost stopped listening to this book so many times, not because the story was bad but because the narrator was horrible. The breathy words at the end of every sentence were super annoying. I got through it cause I wanted to hear the whole story but would have been better with someone different .

Impacting

Good read for any survivor of abuse, on point.
Lily's journey of breaking the generational cycle of abuse, healing her inner-child and the impact of her decisions along the way are insightful and helpful as a guidance tool.
