Good body count ….. not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he gets the job done.

so glad I found this gem! narrator delivers perfect performance. looking forward to more Thomas Blackstone!

Action, Action, Action

David Gilman leaves no details out in this novel of vengeance, love and honor. 18 hours goes by like 18 minutes in this gripping novel. Gildart Jackson is never a disappointment as he reads the novel with enthusiasm and electricity. I caught myself laughing at the crude jokes of the fighting men and empathetically mourning with the characters. Thankful I’m only half way through the series, hungry for more.

History comes to life

As a historical fiction fan, these books stand out in their more accurate portrayal of what life was like for the common man during the time. I also greatly appreciated how the author didn't shy away from sickness, disease, or filthy descriptions. Great books, wonderful performance.
