Since Pro basketball player Ty “Pretty Boy” Washington picked up a basketball, he’s only ever wanted one thing: to make it to the pro league and win championships. As the number one pick in the draft, he defies the odds in his rookie year by beating the record of one of the greatest players in the league, Sid “The Wonder Kid” King. For years, Ty has looked forward to playing in the same league as Sid, the epitome of success. What he doesn’t expect is their intense chemistry or how Sid is the only person who can see that he’s barely hanging on. At the top of his game, Sid is well on his way to becoming a legend. Voted the Sexiest Man Alive with a reputation as a ladies’ man, he seems to have it all. When he sees for the first time the undeniably talented rookie with soulful yet sad eyes, long-buried feelings surface.
Loving the Legend is book 1 in the MM sports romance Chasing Rings series. Each book ends with a HEA, can be listened to as a stand-alone, and features a new couple. Themes include two MCs from rival teams turned lovers, grief/trauma, hurt/comfort, hidden relationships, possessiveness, found family, and more. Both MCs are consenting adults.

The fact that this is Kit’s break out book is incredible. The story of Sid and Ty is so beautiful. Literally I gushed at their love for each other and the spice, well it’s sizzling.
There is a lot of emotional baggage, homophobia and mental health discussed so check your triggers. To me the author handled all of that with grace and even though it was sad I was able to handle those emotions because there was so much love it this book. Sid and Ty’s family is so loving and I kept thinking how lucky they were to have that support.
With so many MM hockey books it was fresh having a basketball book.
The sneak peak into book two Scoring The Player was a nice surprise and I’m excited for that book to come out.
Jace Hunter did an incredible job narrating. His voice was so smooth.

This novel is a masterpiece in the beauty of allowing yourself to be truly seen and how incredibly difficult that can be.
A palpable grief takes hold of you early on and stays with you, ebbing and flowing in its intensity as the characters bend, break, and work to heal. It’s a rare gift to have a witty, entertaining, romance, filled with rich lovable characters, but that still takes the reader on a journey of processing loss, navigating mental illness, and unpacking shame that can color one’s very existence.
I rooted for Ty & Sid from page one and only grew more invested with every part of themselves they laid bare.
All this AND toe-curling spice, driven by a chemistry that was burning up the pages.
The audio book, brought to life by Jace Hunter, is a wholly new experience. An already emotional, captivating, and immersive novel is given breath and a new depth- forcing you to step back and bear witness to Tyler Washington and Sidney King in all their glory. Jace was spectacular and imbued authenticity and a lived-in feel into every word. A breathtaking performance.
Five stars for both the novel and the audiobook. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is my second time reading this book but when Jace Hunter took the chance to narrate both Sid and Ty, I knew from the first chapter, it was going to be everything for me but it was so much better than I remembered.
The sweetest moments that hit my heart with these two were these lovely scenes.
* Ty making soup for Sid when he was sick
* Sid inviting Ty for the holidays so he wouldn’t be alone
* Ty’s birthday and how Sid got him the cake his parents would get him for his birthday
The emotional roller we go through with Sid and Ty broke my heart so many times but I loved how every action was justified.
Man, their first time together was so hot but I swear, every spicy scene only got better and better with these two and I was here for it.
The found family was perfect. I absolutely loved how Sid’s mother welcomed Ty with welcome arms. It was exactly what he needed and he needed that motherly love that he hadn’t had in so long. Also, Adam and Ishan were there for him when he needed it the most.
I felt so bad for Ty so much from losing his parents, his mental health(which was so in depth and real) to his uncle getting admitted to the hospital. Geez. That hospital scene was so hard for him and thank god Irnaz and Sid were really there for him. I also loved how we got to see Ty going to therapy because it was really hard for him to seek help from his parents death.
I absolutely loved how Kit really went into depth with sports and the LGBTQ+ community because that really hits a spot that we don’t even realize it’s happened. Chapter 24 will probably be one of my favorite chapters in this entire book because of that scene that Sid did with the press.
This book was everything from emotional, to the butterflies in my stomach to just wanting more as I read this. I just love how raw the feelings were. I was also here for the jealousy that the two felt when someone would be hitting on them. I laughed whenever Sid became possessive over his guy.
Such an amazing love story for Sid and Ty!
