Tammy Gallagher found herself obese with high blood pressure and high cholesterol in her mid-20s. She ultimately developed Crohn’s disease after living a very unhealthy life. Now in her late 50’s, she’s healthier than ever. She lost 78 pounds and now has healthy cholesterol levels and blood pressure.

Awesome guide

This audiobook is an amazing guide to overall better health as we go through life. I especially loved all the information and tips about gut health, as I genuinely didn't realize just how crucial gut health is to the rest of the body and mind! I'd definitely recommend this book.

Love the 5 Pillars!

Great listen and so balanced. It is detailed enough with getting lost in the science to be practical. I loved the 5 pillar approach (I like lists) and loved the emphasis on sleep (with my husband would listen) and the non-negotiable gut health approach... you hit the nail on the proverbial head. THANKS, you have energized my motivation!

Amazing read, everyone should have this book!

Ms. Gallagher did a wonderful job on this book. This should be in every human's library. It incorporates every facet of living a healthy, and long life. I really enjoyed her wonderful insight about food and meditation. I myself am an organic eater and living with hypothyroidism. By eating an auto-immune paleo diet, I have been able to lower the dose of my levothyroxine for my thyroid disease. Food is medicine and meditation is food for the soul! Thank you for this Ms. Gallagher!

Learn from real life success

I love books where the writer has walked the walk, Tammy turned her life around in her 50s and lost 78 lbs after educating herself. She teaches you to start from where you are so it's not the usual one-size-fits-all approach and anyone can do this by making small incremental changes in their lifestyle. Now in my 60s, this book is an inspiring addition to my health library and I will be implementing many of her guidelines. The important thing is that she makes it very easy and that is inspiring in itself.

Points to ponder

There are so many points to ponder in this book. From the basic benefits of exercise to gut health, aging is no joke and we need to listen to our body and be kind to it.
