Better suited for online business startups

I think this may have been better as a written book. Some of the experts that the author interviews can come off dry as if they're are blandly reading of a paper. The book seems geared more towards online businesses. Since the title said "home business" I thought it might be something more general that I could use. It would have been better if the title said "online business" or "earning passive income". I still found some of the information beneficial but it wasn't exactly what I thought it would be.

Loved it...it was like listening to my mind speak...I am a passionate entrepreneur and struggling to grow my business with a full time job...this book has cleared my mind and help me set a path..

Very good overall

This short but packed book contains very useful introductory information about picking an online business suited to your skills and interests and then taking action. The author is very knowledgeable. The audio version is clear and useful too. The only complaint I have is that every single entrepreneur profiles in the book is a man. I am surprised that the author, who is a successful entrepreneur herself, didn’t look to profile a few women who have created lucrative online businesses.

Great for beginners

This book is great because it is a thorough outline with practical steps on how to comfortably quit your day job (something almost every person wants to do).

It provides ideas and success stories of people who changed their lives and their advice on how they got where they are today.

The only way to achieve success is if you read all the way through and TAKE ACTION!!

Unless you're an experienced entrepreneur or you're happy with the job you have, this book can help you. Whether you're looking to create a side hustle you can do in your spare time, or you're looking for an exit, you should read this book.

The author does a great job explaining an approach that should work for most entrepreneurs. She then backs this up by interviewing several successful people. Each one has made their mark in a different market. App development. Amazon publishing. Blogging. And so on. The lessons she gave earlier are reinforced and added on to by their experience and expertise.

The voice of the interview subjects was narrated by a different person. This made it easy to follow along during the question and answers. The primary narrator was clear and understandable, as was the interview narrator.

Great resource!

I would definitely recommend this book. I listened to the entire thing in one sitting. I believe the interviews were great and valuable! My only improvement would be to have more ways a person can actually quit their day jobs. Some of the people interviewed were already in their dream business. Perhaps talking to people who are in the 6 months before leaving their job or 3 months after quitting are more relevant to my situation. Overall great book!!

Decent little starter kit for business online

would have liked to get more info on affiliate marketing and what areas of her business are outsourced to virtual assistants. The book is an optimistic take of what can be accomplished by starting an online business while working. Realistically it's a lot more difficult than how it was explained. However I got some good suggestions and tips and references on how to set up a passive income stream online.
