Too long

This book was way too long for what it was.
The main character kept getting lost in reverie, that quite frankly, added no value.
The book was interesting enough but I found myself fast forwarding through several sections to just get on with it already.
Really nothing special and honestly I'm not sure I'll read another from this author.

Outstanding

I bought this in both Audible and Kindle format, anticipating listening on my commute and then reading on my flight; well my flight was canceled unexpectedly and I had a very long drive home. The story and narration were both so good, I ended up finishing the book once I got home on Audible.

Although the protagonist wasn’t a saint, I rooted for her the entire time. The narration adds so much to the story. If you’re on the fence...buy it!

Not this author’s best work

What a great book- right up until the last chapter. Then it fell off a steep cliff and fell flat with a resounding thud. Which is too bad as the story was completely engrossing, kept the reader guessing and on edge for the entire book. Worth the time to read.

Great narration, deep story...

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I loved the twists and turns and the voice that kept it all together. I highly recommend this listen.

Never Seen The Ending Coming

The storyline kept me wanting to keep going at every chance I had to listen! I loved the descriptive nature of the characters and the surroundings. She was able to make me see the story in my mind.

Never have I ever listened to

a book where you feel the heartbeat, the breathing and emotions of the main character. Very heavy at times, as must be, because the events are heavy for anyone to live with. Narration by the author is excellent!

Loved this book!

Have never read anything from this author so I’m glad I chose this one. The author also narrates this story. She does a fine job although sometimes her voice sounds a little on the childish side. Although not enough to be too grating. Overall, highly recommend. Interesting characters and twisted story!

It's a good 3.5

The development is very slow and I was sometimes bored with too much overthinking or even repeated phrases. I liked the main character but she also annoyed me very frequently with some of her dumb choices. It took me probably two weeks to finish the first two thirds, but the last chapters were more intriguing. As far as the story not being believable, I agree and I also prefer plots that are more real-life, but hey, it's fiction and I´m always open to improbabilities if the story is good enough. Overall, I ended up enjoying it although it's not among the best I've read/listened to.

I listen to 3+ books per week and it can be challenging finding ones worth listening to but this one is the whole package! Do it!!

I loved it from start to finish! Interesting, clever and engaging. I listened every second I could!
