It’s exactly what I was looking for. All around great advice and tips. From start to finish it was concise and relevant. I like that the author covered topics that you may not have expected but can clearly see how that ties into the typical leadership books. Highly recommend.

Leadership for the modern world

As a person who has been in leadership for 18 years, I love listening to any books about leadership as no one should ever assume that they are a great leader and assume there's no new information out in the world that could make them better. This book has completely exceeded my expectations. Chapter 4 resonated with me as it emphasizes the crucial role emotional intelligence plays in leadership. The author skillfully breaks down how leaders can exhibit emotional intelligence and I found myself learning valuable lessons from the examples.

What's nice is instead of the book drowning us in management jargon, it offers timeless and actionable principles that any leader can apply. I loved that the author emphasized creating an environment where employees feel empowered and motivated to work autonomously.

Whether you are a seasoned manager or a new one, this book will undoubtedly make you a better leader!

A better primer you will not find!

Anthony Raymond has done more than a good job...he's done a complete job with this book! He did a masterful job of framing the issues, supplying wisdom, practical steps, and humor. He touches on most issues the new entrepreneur will need to consider (I say "most" because there is probably other things to consider, although I cannot think of what they might be). While this book is aimed at those just starting out, I found it a useful reminder and refresher for information I had read but forgotten years ago. I found myself encouraged and wanting to get back into leadership. He shares his sources for the information, so I can go and dig deeper into an issue if I need to. Well done!
