Wonderful main character

This was a good mystery. i love the main character. this is the first book i listened to by this author. i will be listening to more.

Buy this book if you are looking for an author who doesn’t disappoint in developing the story from start to finish. I loved it! Seriously, what a treat. I am pumped that Lee has provided additional books to read using the characters we have come to love. You won’t regret this purchase.

Stackhouse comes to life

I was lucky enough to read this book when it came out and I throughly enjoyed it. For me, reading a book gives me an image in my head of that character and that image sticks with me throughout the book or in this case, the series. Most of the books I read have male lead characters but this one was quite different. Andy Stackhouse is strong, intelligent and driven but she is a women. That in itself is not a problem but in my mind, I needed more to fix that image. When the audio edition was released I realized that I had a chance to place a voice to the character which in turn gave me the nuances needed to finalize that image. I now have the complete picture of Andy Stackhouse and it is everything I was hoping for. She comes across to me now as a complete lead character with a vulnerable side that is quite appealing. She is exactly what I need to lead me through these books and my only complaint is that she is fictional... Get the audio book and start your journey with Andy, you wont regret it.

Audible far exceeded my expectations!

I have read all the Mackenzie and Manny and Stackhouse books that Alan Lee has written - obsessively! And this septuagenarian is in love with ALL his characters - the good guys and the kinda good guys. So many big personalities to fill the pages! So I was very curious how one of his characters would turn out on an audible book, "Hollow Girl". I mean, how would Stackhouse, the main character sound when talking in someone else's voice - a voice that wasn't already in my head from my own reading? Was I going to be disappointed or what? Nope! Not one iota! Rickel Hayes produced a great audible! She managed to fill the scenes with all the emotions that are usually enhanced in movies with background sounds and music. I totally enjoyed this book all over again! To quote the old Life cereal commercial from the 70s - "Try it! - You'll like it!"

Really good!

This was a very well written mystery. The narration was great. I look forward to reading more from this author.
