Natalia and Cristian

This is my first Charity Ferrell book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Natalia's best friend's father, Cristian, plans to marry her to keep her safe from an ex who was part of another mafia family. Her ex did not want to let her go. Unfortunately, Cristian had some people working against him on the inside. Natalia could be a tough cookie, especially after she is kidnapped. Initially, Cristian could be really ruthless to the point that I wanted to b!tch slap him for some of the things he said to Natalia. This book was really good! Kylie Stewart did a good job but Tor Thom was outstanding.

Twisted and thrilling

Twisted, explicit scenes, violence it is all so very good. Loved this plot and the characters were very interesting. Easy to follow and enjoy. The narration was absolutely amazing. I recommend this book.

I’m in my mafia era!!

I listened to Gorgeous Prince first so I was so ready for Christian & Natalia’s story & it did not disappoint! I’m here for the violent side of the mafia lifestyle but watching Natalia tear down Christian’s walls was what did it for me!! Bring on Gorgeous Princess!

My first book from this author and it had a surprisingly good storyline it’s just too bad the narration was just ok. In my humble opinion when you’re listening🎧to a audiobook the narration needs to envelop you all up! This is definitely an age gap MF relationship and it does have a HEA. Is it worth the credit? Yes, just give it a try and listen for yourself!

This was my first ever best friends dad age gap book and she sold it seamlessly. I listened to the audiobook and the narrators were also amazing with their performances and bringing the characters to life.

There was great angst, character dynamics and push/pull in the storyline and both characters were great as individuals, but perfect together. I loved that Christen didn’t soften up into a puddle of mush and remained a believable black hearted mafia man throughout the entirety of this book. I also loved that Natalia could hold her own against him and wasn’t afraid to challenge or sass him. She was both badass and soft in all the right areas for a heroine.

This was an unbelievable start to her mafia series and the ending of book one leveled up on unbelievable beginnings for book two of the series. I’m in a huge hangover and want my hands on book two….like yesterday. 😂

I generally wait for the audios to come out, but I’m honestly not sure I will be able to restrain myself for book two. I could easily see myself waiting up until midnight on release day to binge read through to morning.

Loved it!

This book had me hooked from start to finish! I absolutely loved Christian and Natalia’s characters. I loved how Natalia stood up for herself.

Solid

As far as mafia stories go, this was a bit on the lighter side and not as dark and heavy as I tend to read which has been a nice break from all that.

It’s a quick read and it moves briskly, the writing isn’t as heavy as what I’ve been reading lately which, again, has been nice to get a little brea from. This is a great way to hand a story that isn’t filled with brutality and deep heaviness but still getting that mafia hit that you need.

This was my first listen if these narrators and I can see myself listening to more audiobooks with their names on it

Fantastic Story & Listen🎧A Gripping Mafia Romance!

Charity Ferrell blows me away with this first book in her “Marchetti Mafia” series, a dark romance novel that is captivating from start to end. I loved the originality of the story, the writing, plotting and world building is fantastic and so is the character growth and development. Natalia Carprio was involved with the wrong man, Vinny Lombardi, son of a mafia boss, but she broke up with him after he cheated on her. He did not take that too well and put a bounty on her head. In fear for her life, she turns to the only person she thinks can help her and keep her safe, Cristian Marchetti, Gigi’s father, her best friend. Cristian is the head of the Marchetti crime family and a ruthless man, and he does not show her any mercy despite being his daughter’s best friend. As a mob boss, he always has an agenda and since the Lombardi are a rival mafia family, he offered to help Natalia in exchange for information. Natalia stands up to him the best she can, but her options are limited and she has to go along with his demands, which is to have a pretend relationship with him. But when it all hits the fan, it is necessary to make it even more real and as time goes on, another side of Cristian surfaces. I loved how everything played out in this book, the dialogue and banter is amazing and the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, some twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Charity Ferrell, thank you for another amazing story and emotional roller coaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Kylie Stewart and Tor Thom did an amazing job bringing these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that suited them. I loved how they took their roles and made it their own, and were believable in every role they played. Kylie Stewart’s Natalia was spot-on, grasping every side of her personality from her feisty fierceness to her vulnerabilities. Tor Thom’s Cristian was the perfect ruthless alpha boss and so much more by the end. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. Thank you for another amazing listen.

*Narration - the pace for this was perfect. it was just as enjoyable sped up as it was at normal speed. the narrators absolutely nailed it. the male narrators voice was perfectly cool & detached. it gave perfect mafia don vibes. the female narrator did an excellent job portraying all of natalia’s range of emotions.

i am feral for an arranged mafia marriage. this was an interesting take on that - with natalia being cristian’s daughters best friend seeking protection. it had enemies to lovers level tension without them actually hating each other & i loved that. it gave them such great chemistry. && the mouth on Cristian 🥵🥵 holy hotness this man. the story was really entertaining & had me completely sucked in the whole book. i binged it all in a day because i just couldn’t walk away. the hea was so sweet & i love when a morally grey man is so dedicated to his woman. overall this was excellent & i loved it.
