It feels like the main character has outgrown everything, a Gød amongst ants... only holding onto the people and farm because its familiar... He has outgrown everything.

MC goes bat @!%# crazy when his future girlfriend is about to die. I was enjoying the series until that point.

Doom arrives

Plenty of world building and gathering power in this volume. The Doom Points we've been hearing about since volume 1 finally hit 100 and the Apocalypse is triggered.
John gets possessed by a necromancer, but he uses it to heal Ellie.

Then they reverse Captain Planet the mana of the world to stop everyone from immediately dying to a mana purity overload.

John even makes it back to the farm where he hears the Apocalypse is still going. The System takes away his Doom points and replaces them with Apocalypse points, which are already at max: 10/10.

Presumably the next few (trio?) Will involve John and company bringing apocalypse points to zero and thereby saving the world. Theoretically his super fancy wheat that he invented in this volume will make a difference.

great characters

great narration, great characters. once again a kinda boring dungeon run at the end though. Hints that maybe there's a reason behind that though? guess we'll see.
