I was super hooked on Felix’s story. Nyla is a writing wizard!! I cannot wait for the next book! Let’s goo!!

GREAT STORY.. Dr. Love Narration horrible

I loved the story. Dark and beautiful all at once. but the Narrator for Dr. Love, while Love's voice was great every other character he voiced, outside of the warden, was awful. he made the Carver sound like a pimplely teenager. it was cringe af. There has to be someone who reviews these before giving the thumbs up. at least there should be. and his pronunciation of the band Depeche Mode. 🤦🏾‍♀️ He butchered it everytime he attempted to say the word. I can't say enough how bad it was. however Felix aka the Carver was great. I truly enjoyed this narrator and each character he voiced. he saved the listen for me. if he was bad, I would've just read the book on ku whenever I got the chance.

Brainwashed

This is the third book in the Alabaster Penitentiary series. I have been waiting for Felix Darcey and Dr. Love's story!! Nyla K is the QUEEN! This book is amazing. I love the interactions between Felix and Lem. This book was so much more then I could have ever dreamed. Walker Williams and Brent Billings were phenomenal narrating this book. I can't wait for more books!

A Dark And Gripping MM Romance

Brainwashed is a wickedly delightful romance between a psychopath and his psychiatrist. I loved seeing both of these men unravel while falling for each other. It’s a delicious Slowburn, I enjoyed the narration they brought the characters to life.

The most adorable psychopath!

I'm not sure there's ever been anyone more perfectly cast in an audiobook than Walker Williams as Felix Darcey. He truly NAILED this performance! I also loved Brent Billings' smooth voice as Dr. Love, although his voice for Felix wasn't my favorite. This would have been FANTASTIC duet style! I had read this book prior to listening so I knew what was going to happen, but I still found myself sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation! These narrators really brought the story to life, and it was the perfect way to do a re-read of my favorite little psycho and his doctor! 🥰

Love these characters and the voices are a perfect fit!!

Alabaster Penitentiary series is one of my favorites by one of my favorite authors and these narrators didn’t disappoint! Check the trigger warnings! This series isn’t for everyone, but if you like dark MM romance you might love it like I do!

Felix "The Carver" Darcy is the prize possession of The Ivory and he is determined to figure out what makes him tick so he brings in Dr. Lemuel Love to do his thing and get into the mind of the serial killer.

Dark, twisted, and oh so captivating. I was sucked in from the very beginning and never wanted the book to end. Felix is my favourite Nyla K character now and I want so much more of him. I love how Felix was able to push Lem out of his comfort zone but at the same time, Lem was able to bring out the loveable side in Felix. I love the flashbacks into Felix's life and how he became "The Carver" and ended up in Alabaster Pen.

𝘈𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘗𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘳𝘺 series gets continuously darker and more twisted with every new story and needs to be read in order.

🎙️ Brent Billings and Walker Williams were unbelievably great. Brent does a great job of bringing Lem to life but I struggled with his version of Felix. Walker was magical and almost unhinged at times, making Felix life-like. This was my first time listening to both narrators.

OBSESSED!!

FINALLY A MM BOOK THAT IS ACTUALLY DARK! I love how twisted and depraved Felix is. He doesn't hide his actions behind "for the greater good" mentality. He just is, who he is. And can we talk about bratty Felix? Because he's my absolute favorite. I need a bonus spanking scene stat, Nyla!

In typical Nyla fashion this book was HOT. No one writes these scenes quite like Nyla does. Lord have mercy I was panting.

I'm SO EXCITED for The Ivory's book!!!! I need to get into that man's mind!

Dark, depraved, and oh so hot!!! Once again, Nyla K delivers a scorching hot story in the Alabaster Penitentiary series. There’s something about the doctor patient relationship that gets me every time. I also love seeing all the the previous characters throughout this book. And the narrators did a wonderful job! I simply did not want to stop listening!

More reason to push for DUET NARRATION!!!

Dr.Love narrator drops the ball voicing Felix. The monotone delivery makes me cringe, story is great but his narration for Felix makes it hard to be engaged.

Felix narrator is the best part of this audiobook.
Story wise, it"s much better than book 2 (not a fan of Joy VA)
