Funny and entertaining

Beckett and Summer have known each other for a while. They are also neighbors, but have been denying their attraction. When they both become interested in the same property a bidding war starts between them since neither wants to relent. But love has a funny way to win always. I voluntarily reviewed an ALC of this book.

Great Narrators and Great Story

I love the accents of the narrators. They seem like they fit the characters very well.

As far as the actual book goes, I loved that as well. It's always nice when you have a vest friend's sibling book where the best friend is super supportive of the relationship, versus that being a conflict. I liked that we got the history of Beckett and Summer slowly. The first date that Beckett planned for Summer was very sweet (and spicy!), and the way he went about getting her to go on the date was very cute.

It's a great performance and great story!

Cute love hate Romance

The book was very entertaining and had cute characters. The banter back-and-forth between the two main characters made me laugh.

Beckett and Summer have had a grudge since they were in high school and when the ranch between their properties goes up for sale and they both go after it, things are bound to get heated between them.

I read the first two books out of order and it didn't matter that I did this as I don't feel like I missed anything. Although Beckett and Summer had some great banter, I felt that a fair amount of their interactions felt forced and struggled to feel the chemistry between them even though everyone around them was constantly telling both of them that they were going to end up together.

I am going to keep going with this series as this family is just too entertaining to walk away from.

Audio → Aaron Shedlock and Vanessa Edwin did a good job of portraying the characters and the story.

Great series starter!

Summer and Beckett are rivals. They both want to buy the neighboring ranch to realize their dreams. The ranch can only be bought through bid, which rankles both Summer and Beckett. Summer wants to open a bed and breakfast; Beckett wants to expand his horse training facility. Beckett throws down a challenge which Summer reluctantly engages in. Little does she know that Beckett wouldn't back down that easily. Throughout the book the banter between the two changes from all out rivalry to friendly to even more. It got harder and harder for them to resist the attraction between them. The author certainly created two main characters that were opposites in every way, who could banter with each other, and challenge each other, ultimately ending up together. Their HEA makes it a win-win situation for them. The author brought us a small town, cowboy, enemies to lovers, best friend's brother romance that will easily have me falling in love with Valentine, Texas. I can't wait for more!

Excellent small town romance!

I Loved the story! It reminded me of home, from Alvin, Texas, where I grew up on a ranch. The love hate romance was just what I needed. Moving on to book 2. BTW, You couldn’t of picked to amazing narrators for this one. This is definitely a feel good story with some spice.

Steamy Small Town Romance!!

A fun steamy, enemies to lovers, best friend’s brother trope-tastic story!
Beckett and Summer were absolutely fun together! I loved their banter and how they each got under the other’s skin all the time.

The most perfect farm house comes up for sale and Summer knows that this is the time to start working on her dream of opening up a B&B. The location is great, not too far from her family’s farm, and large enough to supplement the lack of many hotels in the town nearby, while still giving people a warm hometown experience. The only drawback is that she’s not the only one interested in it. Beckett would like to expand his horseback riding and training business and that perfect property is right next door to his farm, so the expansion would be easy and convenient to do.
The rivalry that began in high school heats up! Both in the sheets and out! Summer is a fun character who’s confident in her own sexuality and makes sure she enjoys it. She might not be the best plant parent, but she knows how to whip up some delicious waffles for her future B&B guests. She still holds a grudge against Beckett from high school, but perhaps it’s time to let bygones be bygones and embrace the woo and go for what she wants (whether she admits she wants it or not)!
Beckett knows that Summer gets under his skin, so he does his best to get under hers. He’s the perfect alpha-hole, who gives Summer a run for her money, but still knows her favorite flowers and her favorite order at the restaurant.
The secondary characters were wonderful! I hope all the family members get their own stories in future books! They offered interesting insights into the Beckett/Summer drama and provided their own hilarious commentary!

Listening to this story was such fun! I had trouble stopping and kept needing to listen to one more chapter. Summer and Beckett are perfect for each other and I loved following them along on their journey to love.
I’d recommend this to anyone who needs a fairly lighthearted, small town romance, with enemies to lovers vibes, southern charm, and a best friend’s brother trope all mixed into one! The story is a standalone and can be enjoyed by itself, however it will leave you wanting to read the next one!!

The narrators were wonderful! Each embodied the characters and gave a little southern vibe to the voices to help you picture the story properly! I hadn’t listened to either of them before and would be happy to listen to them narrate something again! It was duel narrated with the chapter’s from Summer’s POV being told by the female narrator and vice versa for the male. I listened at 1.15x speed.

4.55⭐️ Bless Your Heart was a sweet and spicy story with a great enemies to lovers vibe with the best friend’s older brother. It was an excellent listen!

Summer/Beckett

This book was on fire. I did the audio version of it and the voices were perfect, Beckett’s voice during the heated scenes was like sex on a stick. I can’t wait to read (or listen to) more of the people introduced in this story!
