Great Book! Book club pick

My book club chose this book and as I was on a road trip I did the audio. The beginning ripped my heart out! But Rhett and Anastasia’s story. The performance was amazing and I was able to feel what the characters were going through which upped my overall rating to 5 ⭐️

The spice, the plot, the betrayal…. This book has it all. Immediately starting the next book!

Amazing! Narrators were great! Great plot and spice. Quick read with a good storyline! So glad book 2 has dropped!

if you like good banter to worlds meeting and morrally grey mmc this is for you. Rhett is Ana's new bodyguard how has built walls around his heart. ana is american sweetheart the daughter of a president candidate who doesn't like the the spotlight. the chemisty between them is lighting. there alot twist didnt see coming and i cant wait to listen to book 2. the narrators did a great job bring the charcter emotions to life

Obsessed!

I was a little hesitant to read but I actually loved the story, the angst and the characters! For sure will be in my top favorites! I need more!

The MMC

I absolutely loved this. Do I wish the author would’ve went into more detail, yes, but overall, this was great!

blah storyline, expected plot, lacks feeling

This felt like AI was told to write a dark romance genre and wrote a book as a collective of all the books from the genre with absolutely no understanding of human feelings. Oh poor me MMC, I've had trauma but I'm not affected FMC. very surface level writing, very strange and uneventful seductive scenes. MMC is a try hard boy and FMC is just as bad. so disappointing. I made it through half of the book. Disappointed I spent money on this.

Fantastic male narration, he never disappoints. Too bad he chose this book.

The female narrator plus the immaturity of the MFC was hard to get through.

The only reason I finished the book was to count the undeniable similarities to The Ravenhood and Hunting Adeline series.

Not for me

This was really cheesy and juvenile! I couldn’t even finish! The heroine was a brat and it made no sense for people to be so obsessed with her.

Started off good…

Just took a turn for the worse unfortunately. TikTok Vlogger mentioned as one she’s surprised people aren’t talking about… hate that I wasted a credit. The first third I was in to it.. then the direction just became too far fetched in a way that doesn’t make you want to keep up.
