How do you let go of someone who’s woven into the fabric of your soul?

From international bestselling author Darby Briar comes a heart-wrenching romance about redemption, second chances, and fighting for the love you can’t forget.

This story drops you straight into the gritty, unforgiving world of the Harbingers of Chaos motorcycle club and the exotic gentlemen’s club they run. It also explores dark themes. Please heed the trigger warnings before listening. Your mental health matters.

Once broken and afraid, Lily has rebuilt herself into a woman who owns every room she walks into. She’s more than a dancer on stage—she’s an artist who can bring a man to his knees. She’s powerful, untouchable, and in complete control of her world. Yet no matter how far she’s come, one thing remains—she can’t forget the man who saved her… and disappeared without a trace.

Finn is a man searching for the girl time forgot. A traumatic injury has left him with chronic pain and holes in his memory. But he pushes himself beyond his limits to find the little bird haunting the edges of his broken mind. She might be the only one who can put the scattered pieces back together before it’s too late.

When their worlds collide for a second time, old wounds reopen, and the deep connection they once shared sparks back to life. But Lily isn’t the same girl, and Finn is far from the boy she once loved.

As Finn fights for his redemption and Lily battles her fears, they’ll discover that some loves are too deep to walk away from… no matter the cost.

A beautiful, emotional, slow burn filed with tension and angst. Lily and Goose were such great characters and their story just melted my heart. I easily got lost in the world of these amazing characters and enjoyed every minute of it. This was book 2 in The Harbingers of Chaos Series and I can’t wait for the next book! The way this one ended, I also can’t wait to learn more about Bodie and that whole situation! 😬🫣😂 I freaking love Bodie!
The narration performed in duet by Heather Firth and Joe Arden was incredible! Their ability to voice so many different characters and bring their personalities out is mind blowing. They both really brought the story and all the emotions of it to life.

Beautiful, well written story!

Lost Lyrebird by Darby Briar was already a five-star read for me… but the audiobook? It took this story beyond five stars.

Finn (aka Goose) and Lily’s journey is one of those stories that consumes you… full of angst, heartbreak, and that kind of aching love that clings to your soul. Darby’s writing is so vivid, every emotion leaps off the page… and then having it performed in duet turned it into a full-on cinematic experience in my mind.

Heather Firth completely embodied Lily. Her sass, her toughness, that fierce “I’m a badass” attitude, but also her raw vulnerability when she’s hurting and trying to push through. You can hear all of it in her performance, and it’s breathtaking.

And Joe Arden? Every time I think I’ve heard his best performance, he outdoes himself. His portrayal of Finn was gut-wrenching, you could feel the torment in his voice, the pain of migraines, the confusion of memory loss, the desperate longing for what he can’t quite remember. And the way he differentiates every single male character in this motorcycle club? Unbelievable. Truly a vocal shapeshifter.

Between Darby’s emotionally charged, beautifully layered storytelling and this powerhouse narration, Lost Lyrebird was an experience I’ll never forget.

Intense, Vivid, and Hauntingly Beautiful!

I absolutely loved this story, between the age gap, second chance tropes, and Lily being an absolute baddy, this story had it all. The MMC in this story had really been put through it, and so had the FMC. While it was in different ways, they both were tested and in the end it was an all delicious outcome for both of them after overcoming such trials and tribulations. I love that this world takes place in several motorcycle clubs. If you love the brotherly tight knit communities that MC stories provide this will not disappoint. The love and connection between these characters makes the spicy scenes that much better! The narration by Heather and Joe was flawless! Can’t wait for more from this world!

Amazing!

Once in a while, a book makes you feel deeply, relentlessly, and in ways that linger long after the last page. Lost Lyrebird was one of those books for me and listening to the audiobook took it to a whole other level! I can say, without hesitation, that it evoked every emotion: joy, heartbreak, anger, grief, and hope. The author, Darby Briar doesn’t just tell you what the characters are going through, you live it with them. I love Lily and Finn, their chemistry and pull to one another is electric and undeniable! This is not just a story I read and listened to, it's a story I lived. It’s a story I felt and it’s one I’ll carry with me forever. Lost Lyrebird will stay close to my heart always, right beside Burning Ember. Buckle up everyone because you’re in for one hell of a ride!!

Heather Firth was so perfect for Lily, she did multiple female characters to perfection! Joe Arden completely nailed Goose and the many male characters he voiced. These two were perfect together!

Every so often, a story comes along that isn’t simply read—it’s experienced, felt, and carried long after the final page. Lost Lyrebird by Darby Briar is one of those stories. Both heartbreaking and hopeful, this second‑chance romance immerses you in a whirlwind of raw emotion, magnetic chemistry, and unforgettable characters. It’s not the kind of love story you coast through—it’s one that demands every beat of your heart.

At its core, this is Finn and Lily’s journey, forged in tragedy and complicated by memory loss, grief, and resilience. Briar gives Lily’s character a fierce, radiant presence—her strength, her passion, and especially her dance sequences feel purposeful and deeply moving. Finn—“Goose”—is a hero both tender and unyielding, fiercely protective yet achingly vulnerable as his memories resurface. Together, their connection burns with intensity, balancing fire with fragility in a way that feels entirely authentic.

The audiobook brings another layer of depth, brought to life through a duet narration by Heather Firth and Joe Arden. Heather captures Lily’s sensuality and strength with ease, while Joe delivers an unforgettable portrayal of Finn—raw, powerful, and emotionally charged. Their performances don’t just voice the characters; they embody them, making the listening experience deeply immersive and impossible to forget.

Raw, Heartfelt, and Utterly Unforgettable
