About this listen

The former head of the Pentagon program responsible for the investigation of UFOsnow known as Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)reveals long-hidden truths with profound implications for not only national security but our understanding of the universe.

Luis “Lue” Elizondo is a former senior intelligence official and special agent who was recruited into a strange and highly sensitive US Government program to investigate UAP incursions into sensitive military installations and air space. To accomplish his mission, Elizondo had to rely on decades of experience gained working some of America’s most sensitive and classified programs. Even then, he was not prepared for what he would learn, and the truth about the government’s long shadowy involvement in UAP investigations, and the lengths officials would take to keep them a secret.

The stakes could not be higher. Imminent is a first-hand, revelatory account inside the Pentagon’s most closely guarded secret and a call to action to confront humanity’s greatest existential questions.

Editorial Review

Are aliens real?
I’m what you might call alien agnostic. I’ve never worn a tinfoil hat. I’ve never watched The X Files. But I am a Jodie Foster fan, and as her character in Contact argues, the sheer vastness of the universe makes it a reasonable bet that there are other life-forms out there. But I never put much thought into it beyond that. Then, in 2017, The New York Times dropped its bombshell report that there was a secret Pentagon program investigating UFOs, and that US Navy pilots had witnessed flying objects that seemed to have inexplicable technological capabilities. The Pentagon has been tamping down the story ever since, saying there’s no evidence of “off-world technology.” But then again, the Pentagon isn’t known for being super forthright. All of this is to say, I am highly anticipating the release of Imminent, the ominously titled book from Luis Elizondo, a whistleblower and former director of the Pentagon program charged with investigating UFOs, now called “unidentified anomalous phenomenon.” So, hold on to your tinfoil hats, this listen may have a few bombshells of its own. — Phoebe N., Audible Editor

Mr. Elizondo is not allowed to tell the whole truth, but what he does tell…

What he does tell is completely consistent with the findings of hundreds of dedicated UFO researchers for the last 80 years. A clever reader will read between the lines in a few places, and be well rewarded. it is astonishing and inspiring that the work of himself in a few others could result in so much disclosure permitted by powers within the establishment, and so much more to come based on the interest that has been carefully built within the US Congress. For more detail about many of the older cases mentioned, and many others, I recommend the three part series: UFOs and the national security state by Richard Dolan, which focuses primarily on UFO encounters with military players.

For Introduction to the Topic

A lot of the information was rehashed from other books. If you are familiar with the topic, this is more of a bio of the author. It was ok.

The info strait from the horses mouth!

This book was a dream, disclosure is here, without pomp or circumstance, but with all the honesty of a man who fought tooth an nail blood sweat and tears for the American ideal and lives up to it in each word that was ripped from the dark and smokey hands of the Pentagons most obstinate gatekeepers. Please buy a copy as well, so that one day someone else can pick up and read these important revelations !

Outstanding confirmation of details with some new information

Like it or not, aliens are real, they are here, and a cover up has been in place since the 1940s and the advent of the nuclear age. Much of what Lu talks about here is confirmation of that which we already know—or could aggregate from other sources—but he lays it out very concisely and directly. What was new to me, or what I’ve now seen for the first time, is that one of the core reasons for secrecy regarding alien interaction with our planet appears to be a legitimate fear that their most likely purpose is a defensive response to us becoming a nuclear power. Lu points out they don’t seem worried with preventing us from destroying ourselves when we have nuclear disasters, and that their activities are most probably an “IPB” or “initial preparation of the battlefield.” Much of the government secrecy on this subject has likely been to keep the public from massively panicking over the fact that an invasion is a highly legitimate fear.

I feel strongly Lu has other information that would lead him to believe the aliens are hostile, because he hold clearances that are active and is a patriot of the first order, but humanity needs to be more conscious of the fact that we’re dealing with an existential threat.

Exceeded all expectations! Worth the wait!

Lue Elizondo gives us an insightful look into his life and his time with the Advance Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). He takes us behind the curtain of the US Government's secret investigation into the topic of UAP. Elizondo shines light on the darkness of the 75+ year denial campaign, typically shrouded with dismissal and disinformation. He does so humbly, without interjecting his opinions on origin, and without hyperbole. I cannot recommend this book enough. I advise you suspend disbelief for a moment and read (and i mean really read and absorb) the contents with an open mind. 11/10
