Intrigue, facts, science and history crescendoing through the last chapter. Bravo! Crazy making because it seems true... mind is blown.

well researched and presented

got this one on a bit of a whim, but it was a great surprise. the author thoughtfully guides the reader through subjects including skull cults, graveyard beers, witches, Jesus, Vatican archives, psychedelics, the war on drugs and how it all ties back to the last supper. Great read.

Excellent read, this book is essential.

This book provides a critical narrative to the origins of religion as a whole, and more specifically the Christian religion. Furthermore, it brings accountability to the Catholic Church for their leadership’s innumerable heinous crimes against women (also men, and really anybody who was a scholar of “heretical” material) and the dissemination of ancient pharmacological knowledge, among other things... Today’s world is one of forgotten knowledge that once connected us deeply to the planet and cosmos.

Brian is a hero for putting the many hard years of work into this. It should be a required text for any course on Western civilization.

Very Good Book

I liked how he talked about the ancient brewing methods to then connect it to the wine in the eucharist.
It is interesting how psychedelics have been taboo, and now that people are waking up, I am excited for them to see what they can offer. Whether the visions or experiences are true or not, no one can deny how fishy it is that people tried to hide this recipe for millenia.
Power to the people, let them see God, and realize that Kim-Jong-Un is only human. This brew would help a lot of people over the world to truly see what they need to see.

Utterly fascinating

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I am very intrigued by the subject matter and how the author presented it in manner that leaves the reader enough room to formulate their own opinions without forcing his own theories completely upon you. I also found it responsible and respectful that the author is a “psychonaut virgin” giving his presentation of the material that much more credibility.

Amazing book and so well researched

I can’t believe how brilliant Mr. Muraresku is! As a person who was raised in the Catholic Church and someone who 40+ years ago experimented with LSD, I now have a much richer understanding of my experiences. However, this book blew me away! At first I thought his ideas were crazy until I listened to his thorough research. I can’t say enough about how amazing this book is. It made me rethink pretty much everything I was taught I not only loved his theory that the Eucharist was originally a drug-infused drink that sparked a world religion along with an inquisition that murdered thousands of innocent people but I also really enjoyed his writing style. Everyone should read this book!
