Publisher's summary

Bob Lazar was a brilliant young physicist that found himself employed at a top-secret facility in the middle of the desert outside Las Vegas. Under the watchful eye of the government elite, he is tasked with understanding an exotic propulsion system being used by an advanced aerospace vehicle he is told came from outer space.

The stressful work and long, odd hours start to wear on Bob and he becomes concerned for his safety. He tells his wife and a couple close friends about what he's doing in the desert, and his employers find out and are furious. When they station goons outside his house, Bob seeks help from wealthy UFOlogist, John Lear, who encourages Bob to take his story to award-winning investigative journalist George Knapp at KLAS-TV, a CBS affiliate.

To prove he's telling the truth, Bob takes a group of people out into the desert to watch a test flight of the "flying saucer." On the way home, they are stopped by the police, who notify the base, and Bob loses his job. In a series of interviews with CBS TV, Bob Lazar then blows the lid off "Area 51", blows the whistle on the effort to conceal this craft from the American people, and blows up his career as a top physicist.

Great summary of Bob Lazar's story

This man is a living legend: he physically handled, dismantled, and reverse-engineered gravity controlling alien technology, turned a whistle-blower, had several close calls with the rogue agents running the program to silence him, and yet ultimately lived to tell his amazing story!!!

I'm a long-time Bob Lazar fan. I've read his account in-depth and watched/listened to practically every video and interview he's done in the last ~30 years -- I'm talking Art Bell back in the day. I even owned the Estes kit of the Sport model UFO back in the early 90's. So let me assure you that this book is entirely consistent with the previously released details from Bob throughout the years. While many, many of Bob's statements and specific details have been proven true over the last three decades, what has been one of the most powerful aspects of his story has been his unwavering consistency over all these years. This book continues that quality of consistency.

However, there were a few minor but interesting details missing, but they did not alter or detract from the story:
- After he drank the 'pine sol' liquid as part of the health screen, it gave him an adverse reaction shortly afterwards and his kidneys were in terrific pain. I believe his friend Gene Huff drove him to the hospital because he couldn't drive himself. The symptoms later cleared up with no other effects.
- When he was inside the Sport model craft (the first and only time), he said that he felt an oppressive sense of fear, like humans didn't belong inside there. This has always intrigued me, and although he's mentioned this before in interviews, I always wanted him to elaborate more on this, and was hoping he would address it more in his book, but it didn't get a mention.
- Bob has had mixed feelings towards John Lear over the years -- some of the tape transcripts from the early 90's (outline for a movie script that never happened) tell a humorous, strained relationship Bob and Gene had with John. Maybe his feelings have changed over the years and he has chosen to keep those views to himself now.
- The immediate aftermath of him coming out public with his story -- he did hypnotic regression to recall specific details, he was approached more than a few times for movie deals, etc.
- Probably most important missing detail was the samples of element 115 that allegedly went missing between Los Alamos and S4, but there's probably VERY good reasons why that was completely skipped over. This may come back into public awareness 40 years from now after Bob Lazar passes away...

There were a few new details for me, such as the tragic loss of his first wife, and some of the anecdotes from his childhood and playing with chemistry sets.

I really would have liked if Bob had included more about the years after this whole story broke his life apart. I know he's a fairly private person and doesn't want attention, so I can understand that. But I would have liked if he could've included a few meaningful paragraphs about his life in New Mexico, and then later moving up to Michigan, and maybe even get into the whole Jeremy Korbell documentary project and what that stirred up.

The world of freedom-loving, independent-thinking people owe Bob Lazar a huge debt of gratitude for sharing his story.

A real let down for me.

I have been intrigued by Lazar's story for a long time, and will be up front in saying that after the documentary, I had really high hopes for added detail I'd thought this book would provide.

Unfortunately, that's not the case.

If anything, what he does elaborate on takes his story from the realm of believable to sounding like total b.s.

Don't waste your credit.

It’s a sad tale

Not quite what I expected ... it’s a tale of a man who lived his life by knee jerk reaction having left his brain in the freezer and in the process he destroyed his life. I’m not sure any of this is true because the way he tells it he supposedly is followed, tailed and even shot to keep him quiet before he’s even shared the secret yet after he’s told his secret nothing happens ... many things in his story just don’t add up.

History from the heart-Excellent!

Very few men can say as much - even fewer dare. Through the years while witnessing this man's testimony I've always carried much respect for Bob Lazar. His heart opens up beyond compare and to doubt his words only robs you of the hope that mankind really does have hope. I'm so glad he has chosen to write this book and set the record straight. Though after reading or listening will more than likely send more questions than answers to your mind; I can assure you that no question of Mr Lazar's credibility will arrive. This is a man that braves many hardships to shine a light on unethical government behavior as well as real technological advances. - not for himself but every single human being on Earth and Earth's stratosphere.
The reader did a great job. One of the best I've heard reading/performing an audio book. This is now one of my favorites!
I now need to get my hands on a signed book!

I didn’t have much doubt until after this.

I’ll need to listen to it twice, various red flags, I’ve enjoyed the interviews and documentaries, but... He told Rogan he had majestic clearance, here he never fully got it. He also left out where he got the 115 and all of that. I personally feel he’s hiding things as to not get in trouble or sound even more crazy, but now I have a small amount of doubt.

I’ve always wondered if S4 wasn’t just to show this tech , keep the scientists separated intentionally, and monitor them, almost like a test. The ones who figure it out go on to the next level. Maybe Bob was a puppet, just to leak some information to the public intentionally. Just interesting ideas. Nice writing though, but I know he left a huge amount of stuff out.

Details, details...

Would love to believe him, but the descriptions of his experiments are lacking. If there was a deadly accident before he got hired, there would have been records of “what not to do”. Barry seemed mostly clueless. if he’d been there for a long time there would have been records of many more experiments that were complete... where’s his prior experience? If the devices both produced a field, then how did they turn it off? No description of how they penetrated the field around the reactor to get the hemisphere off and the fuel out again. Did the field turn off when they pushed the reactor away from the emitter by pushing on the field itself? Did it turn off when they removed the dome, or the cap on the tower or the fuel? No description of how they rotated the emitter 90 degrees... yaw? Pitch? Did they lay it on the floor? Why didn’t the emitter just push the acoustic tiles up out of the drop ceiling? What about the dust that came down.. did it form a pattern around the devices? Many simple experiments could be explained, but weren’t. They JUST discovered then with Bob there, after years of tossing golf balls at the machine that the element used was 115? Barry and others didn’t do that already? I’d like to see some diagrams of how you slice a cone to produce numerous triangles of identical size. Seems like you can only make two or four. He had interacted face to face with at least two LANL people during the fuel shaping project, why not go back and find them later? The book should have been about 1/4 to 1/3 scientific detail, and I’m sure he could produce that if he’d been there. Pretty sure I remember discrepancies between his Joe Rogen Test flight description and this one. Also discrepancies between the highway shooting stories. No understanding why he wanted to pull the tape at the end either. Was hoping for much more from Bob. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. The best evidence seems to be all the erasure of his existence!

Bob’s Full Story

Great listen, and a more in depth run through of events for Bob Lazaar’s story. If you’ve heard the story before then all the points are here, but it fills in all the rest. Also a couple new things here and there. Awesome book.

a very important account..

probably a true story but with lots of unnecessary fabricated minor details that i hope wont detract from the important bits. Recalling a word for word conversation about a silly unrelated topic, i dont feel helps the stories authenticity. I sense Bob has been heavily influenced by the producer to include and pad out bits with mundane detail. The Joe Rogan podcast was a much better account! Even better had that 'other guy' not been there.

on the whole, great work.

Just listen to the podcast...

Wanted more from the book, after listening to the Joe Rogan podcast, I sought out the book but I didn't come away from it feeling like I gained any more than what I'd heard. There is also the Netflix documentary which you should check out...book is fine but just as much as his personal life in it than his actual - and brief - time on S4. An okay listen but not exactly compelling.

I’m a fan of Bob Lazar and have followed his story for years. I even did a class presentation on his work and thought I knew all about Bob (I was wrong), this book contains a lot of extra info on Bob and his experience. Great listen.

Amazing and exciting

It was really great to hear the whole story from end to end with all the details. I just wish he would have told about two things which he has mentioned in some interviews which is seeing an actual alien and talking about how aliens showed the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Other than that it was one of the most fascinating books I’ve ever read, what an amazing story

Listen to his podcast. Save the money

I’m rarely mean in a review. But this isn’t that good. Maybe it would be better if Bob read it. There is a podcast that covers his first interview. That’s good and spoken by him.

The story changes a bit each time.

I Couldn't Stop Listening!

Bob Lazar's story has always captivated me ever since I first heard it when I was younger. If the accounts presented here are correct, and I believe they are, the implications are truly incredible. The way Bob presents his journey in this book is amazing, and the narration made it easy to listen to. Highly recommended if you're interested in science and the UFO phenomenon.

Listen to this with an open mind

Quite an amazing story, I have followed Bobs story for a while now and this book re affirms my belief that this man has spoken the truth. This has completely changed this man’s life and definitely not for the better. He had an opportunity to come clean when threatened with prison and never deviated from his story so that is something to think on. Also a lot of information that has recently come out in the media about the subject a lot of which has proved Bob correct. He has not profited from doing this and has lost I’m sure a very substantial amount of money by now not being able to do the scientific research roles he is qualified to do due to his educational career scrubbed from the records. In his own words he says I would not of done it the same if I had my time over. This is not something a fraud would do. Enjoy the story and let’s hope that one day soon this technology that has been discovered can be utilised in the future to help humanity because clearly what we are doing now is not sustainable. Thanks for your story Bob it was amazing insight.

Let down by narrator.

Brilliant story, however the narrator is unbearable. So robotic and lacking context cues.

Was a believer until I listened to this

Very interesting, and I have been a fan of Lazar's. However, he doesn't describe things properly, how they put the fuel in the propulsion system, how they turned it on or off, these are only small discrepancies among many. He makes out Larry to be clueless. It just seems to lack details that someone who has studied the craft would know, but, I don't know. I just can't believe it with full confidence anymore which is upsetting.

Also recalls the exact words of conversations instead of focusing on the importants.
