Great story. But ….

I loved this book but it took everything I had to get through it to the voice actor for Sarah. It’s like listening to the robot on tik tok that reads text; it was painful to listen to but the book itself was great. I just wish I read it instead of listening to it.

Good story, horrid narration

Like many others have said the voice of Sara was not particularly believable. Monotone, but not in a way that portrayed a flatness of spirit. It was literally like some sort of poor AI reading words on a page.
The story could’ve been so much better and need to be re-narrated. Outside of that, it was quite a good story. Although obviously, Ella‘s mother is a complete idiot.

Narration

I had to force myself to finish this book since I paid for it. There are two narrators and one sounded like she was about to cry the whole time and the other one sounded like a robot.

Skip this due to the narration.

The narration is so robotic that it ruined the story for me. It distracts from the story.

I liked this book a lot I wish the ending was a little more exciting though it fell kinda flat

Honestly one is the narrators is so bad I had to stop listening. Audible wouldn’t let me return.

this book was hard to listen to because of the narrators. Ella's voice is so whiney and sarah sounds like a robot, the worst kind.

This book was so disturbing, probably because this is someone’s life. The abuse and brainwash was horrible. The narrators voice for Sarah was so bad. This could have been a better story

Heartbreaking

This book had me hooked. Very upsetting and made my heart hurt for the victims. Ending was crazy.

Just good not super good not super fantastic but just good no twists no turns no surprises. Just a pretty good story. One of the narrators voice was sort of annoying and kind of overacted but not unbearable.
