Growing up, I rarely saw Black characters represented in romance novels. Romance, historically, has not been an inclusive genre. I’m happy to say that today, we have a host of Black creators who are at the forefront of celebrating Black love in romance. Black-led love stories are essential for showing that, while we may have diverse experiences and perspectives, at the end of the day, love is love.
