Kennedy Ryan did it again. The black woman's experience. Navigating life when it just keeps throwing upper cuts. When you are truly seen and loved. The safe space that your village ceates for you to evolve or just be. The writing was top tier. Maverick and Hendrix forever!

What is for me will come to me

Loved this book! I binged listened as soon as it was delivered. Hendrix’s story resonated with me on multiple levels and as usual Kennedy me feeling all the feelings. I felt so much that I have to listen again to get the rest out since I couldn’t cry in public. On top of that, she used my favorite narrators and they delivered!!

Beautiful

I loved it! As I knew I would. Kennedy Ryan did an amazing job with this series. Yes, there is romance and steamy exchanges, but there are real life issues and challenges that make this series so relatable and not as fantastical as other romance novels. And the research she does for these books is impeccable. Even putting topics that are near and dear to heart allowing the reader to have a moment with her is so genuine. 10s across the board!!! I'm sad to see the Skyland series come to an end. But it was wrapped up nicely. Thank Kennedy Ryan!

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️ I loved everything about this story. Hen’s character, Mav’s character, their community it was all sooo good and well written. I stalled while listening cause I wasn’t ready for it to end. I am hoping that we can get another book out of this series. I would love to hear more about the oldest daughters of Mav, Sol, and Jasmine.

Thank you Kennedy for this one. My Grandfather had Alzheimer’s disease. My grandmother and my aunt were his caregivers. Thank you for defining and sharing a great understanding of the disease and how it affects family members. The love story always gives me chills and hope. Thank you. Keep writing!!

Hendrix and Mav!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whew!

YOU DID THAT! To be honest, I’m so emotional right now that I don’t even know where to begin my review. Hen & her mom, Hen & her Aunt, Hen & her friends, Hen & Her business partners, Hen & Maverick, Hen & Herself … ohhhh this story was good for my soul. You know how Jill Scott’s character in Why Did I Get Married laughed and smiled at the end when she was telling her friends about how goooooooooood her life is … insert that gif bc babyyyy that’s the exact feeling you get at the end of this story. I can’t describe it any better. Just read it y’all … and the way I cried at the Author’s note at the end. Kennedy Ryan, sis, YOU ARE THAT GIRL!

This story easily was another amazing story, Hen deserved love and the topics were soooo intentional the family dynamic the things black women go through on the regular.. such am amazing story

It's Kennedy Ryan Enough Said

I mean the GOAT when it comes to writing Romance in my opinion. The character development, the plot, the Social topics and challenges surrounding the story line and the characters are always chef's kiss. She DO NOT MISS.

Hendrix you deserve!

The book ended the Skyland series. I cried,laughed and fell in love with this book. I will miss the women of Skyland. Hendrix’s story was poignant. Her reticence to believe in men was relatable. Maverick was a breath of fresh air. He may have nudged Judah out as my favorite Skyland fella.

The story of Hen and her mother touched me deeply. Having cared for my mother prior to her death, I understood the weight Hen carried. Trying to deal with an aging parent is not for the faint of heart.

Love, joy and hope all fell in step as the universe reordered Hendrix’s life. It was beautiful and heart rending and a perfect ending to a series that will stay with me long after that last page was turned.
