I really enjoyed this book. I'm a fan of dark romance and love a good boy gone bad narrative. I don't like sharing, and so many of these types of stories are now all about the reverse harem. I appreciate this book wasn't one of them.
The narration was fabulous, as I expected it would be. Even the southern accents, which usually make me cringe), were pretty good. And I live right outside of Austin.
The characters were easy to relate to, and the bad guy was easy to loathe.
The sex scenes were pretty hot, but there were more vanilla scenes than I expected.
Overall, this was a great find and I'm ready to move on to the next one!

Fuck, I loved this. The narrators really did an amazing job with bringing these characters to life. Sage and Adam really blew me away. The way they address kink and religion blew me away. As someone who was raised in the Bible Belt and taught many of the same things Adam was, I loved seeing Sage acknowledge Adam’s faith while letting him know that none of the things he was desiring made him a bad man or bad Christian. I also loved how both Sage and Adam stood by their own beliefs while never criticizing the other’s or pushing the other to see things ‘their way’. The emphasis on consent, respect, and trust really made me happy, which all the Sara Cate works that I’ve read do an amazing job of showing the fun and sexy side of kink while really hitting on those points. I just fucking love Adam and Sage, okay? They have such chemistry and Adam’s MOUTH, good god, talk about HOT. They are just GOALS. Adam’s new nickname at the end KILLED ME, Pornstar Preacher haha.

I am so happy I just got this on a whim! I had zero idea what the plot was about. I just got it and started listening. going in blind was so much fun! this is an emotional Rollercoaster with two great narrators! I strongly suggest this book to all!!!

A great story, phenomenal narration. Refreshing to come across a story about actual adults. True to the content and trigger warnings - it’s a fantastic ride.
