This was an incredibly enjoyable listen, and I savored every moment! This marked my first experience with Elliott's work, and I can confidently say it will not be my last. I truly appreciated the depth of the characters' perspectives, intricate journeys, and the deliciously charged tension and chemistry between them. The book skillfully balanced forbidden love, heartfelt romance, and tantalizing spice, creating an intoxicating blend that enthralled me.

As I listened, I kicked my feet and squealed excitedly at some pivotal moments. The spice within the story developed beautifully over time, gradually building in intensity rather than overwhelming me right from the start. A sublime escalation led to an exhilarating peak, but saying I was swooning from the beginning would be an understatement. This story whisked me through a whirlwind of emotions—from shock to heart eyes—ultimately leaving me feeling heated and wiping away tears from sheer passion and connection.

Elliott indeed possesses a remarkable talent for crafting a captivating narrative! I completely adored this book and wholeheartedly recommend it to others. Now, I eagerly await the release of book two so I can dive deeper into Storm’s story!

Amy Hall and Gabriel Spires were nothing short of perfect for the roles of Layla and Colt. Their remarkable talent and skill are evident, making it no surprise that they excel in their craft. Their performances as narrators have a magnetic quality that captivates listeners, effortlessly drawing them into the rich tapestry of the audiobook’s universe. In this captivating production, Hall and Spires brought the characters to vivid life, skillfully embodying the essence of Layla and Colt with every nuance and emotion. Their outstanding delivery transformed the story into an immersive experience, allowing me to lose myself entirely in the narrative. Thanks to their incredible performances, I found immense joy in this book's audiobook format!

I did laugh once because a gelding is a male horse, and they call Fizz a girl after saying “my bay gelding”. Other than that, it’s a great story.

I loved this book. The narrators did a great job with the characters and I was hooked from the beginning. Colt and Layla were both great and enjoyed how their relationship grew.

I loved this book and I loved the narration. It was so good! I cannot wait for book 2. The novella at the end was the perfect bow on top!

This one checked off soooo many of the troupes were looking for! My onlllly thought is that some of the “vanilla” scenes end abruptly and leave you with a passage of time having passed where IRL a lot would have been said or transpired but not here. It’s a bit of a time warp with no resolution but it doesn’t alter the story in the end so I’m not mad at it. Very grateful to use a credit on this book.

Chasing wild was excellent. I wasn’t sure about the narration initially but it was perfect for the MC’s. I didn’t too much like the novella that was included. The story was too similar and was short. It felt rushed like it was missing key moments. Nevertheless, 10/10 for Chasing Wild.

I rounded up on this one. I think it’s a solid 4 1/2 stars for me. I wasn’t expecting it to be as spicy as it was but the tension and angst I felt towards the end was delicious. The majority of this book I read with a physical copy and I listened when I was not able to sit down and read. I think the narrators were both great, but it would’ve been better if it was duet because I wasn’t a huge fan of the male narrators voice and tone as he narrated female lines. That being said, he was fantastic narrating Colt.

You have to have been under a rock if you haven't heard of this series! In this book, Layla is a struggling vet student who is doing her final externships. She needs to move and there is a box of mementos that belongs to her ex-boyfriend and she doesn't have the heart to throw it out. The only contact she has for him is an address in Nowhere, Montana, and, what the heck, she's heading that way anyway. Well, it's really out of the way and when she goes to pay for gas her card gets declined. A handsome 'older man' gallantly pays for her bill. There is definitely a spark but he suddenly leaves. To her surprise, when she finally gets to Devil's Peak Ranch, guess who's there? Colton Wilder, the gas station hunk - and he's Kayce's dad. Add a car that won't start, a lost job, a Montana winter and Layla sees herself working at the ranch. 

Colt can 't believe his (bad) luck. He hasn't felt a spark for anyone in forever and when it happens, it's his son's girl. A son he feels indebted to and with whom he wants to make amends. More bad luck has him snowed in alone with Layla, his dream girl. That is a line he can't cross. But what if no one finds out?

Narrated dual style by Amy Hall and Gabriel Spires, this one will get you very hot under the collar. Amy's voice is perfect for Layla - the determined, loyal and hardworking girl who can't believe she's falling for the most forbidden man. Gabriel is new to me. His voice is very fitting to Colt, a man tortured by his past and the idea that he can't even contemplate a future. 

It's an instant lust, snowed in, forced proximity, age gap, forbidden romance that is made unique by Elliott Rose's style of writing. You are right there inside the heads of these characters all the time. Some readers may get bothered by it but I believe it truly made you know these characters' mindset. But it does make for a longer book. Don't get discouraged by the 16-hour running time for the audiobook. You get a 3-hour bonus novella in the same universe. 

If you want an age gap romance between a dedicated vet student and a tortured soul cowboy with some very good spice, dive right in! Get it in audio! 

Great start for a series

This was a very steamy romance novel, with an age gap ( 20 at least) H is a grumpy cowboy, h is a veterinarian. She is his son’s ex! The MMC will try to help the FMC and pay off his son’s debts , after she came looking for him to solve the issue. She end up stuck in their ranch for weeks due to snow storms!

Everything I needed it to be and more. Loved the duel performance - captured the characters beautifully. The steam was STEAMING…but so tastefully done. Nothing gratuitous but that could be in the eye of the beholder. Headphones strongly recommended 🔥🔥🔥 will be seeking this author’s work further - well done 👏
