This was a fast paced book but enjoyed every minute of it. Enzo is everything an Italian Mafia boss you'd think he is, and his dominant daddy persona with Eavan was just as delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with him not being completely overbearing and ruling Eavan as you'd expect a mafia boss would and was everything she needed. Eavan was sheltered but she definitely held her own and gave as good as she got. She is definitely a fighter and didnt disappoint when the time came to fight. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I read this as an audiobook and loved every minute of it. Shiloh James and William Macleod not only captivated my attention but held it throughout the whole book. William as Enzo was absolutely delicious. His rasp and growl was on point. Shiloh brat and submission was just right that it wasnt cringe when she said Daddy. Loved it.

AUDIO Update (10.9.2025)
I loved this story when I read it, but I am completely blown away by how perfectly these characters were cast. Shiloh James & William Macleod were absolutely incredible. Enzo has an extremely filthy mouth and whew, William Macleod brought it and made the story even hotter. Shiloh was perfect as Eavan and brought out her sass, strong will, and the perfect way that she fell for Enzo. Together, their performances were just exceptional and this might have become one of my favorite audiobooks.

Claimed by Daddy is a stellar start to the new Dark Daddies of New York Series. Enzo is positively delicious with his filthy mouth, morals, and desire to protect Eavan at all costs. I always refer to J.L. Quick's mafia romances as "Mafia Light" because you're not going to get super dark, brutal, gritty, themes, but you will get morally gray men with a moral compass, solid protector energy, and a fun, fierce, spicy AF story that will make you laugh, smile, swoon, have moments of heart pounding suspense, and have to fan yourself.

I loved the way this story started off and how the three men decided to work together instead of against each other. That collaboration is going to be better for all of them and I can't wait to see how it develops in the future. Of course when you're upsetting the cycle there are going to be things to deal with and I really enjoyed the united front they presented to the three families to ensure that everyone knew they either fell in line or they would be punished.

Enzo and Eavan being forced to live in the same apartment really sparked their instalove, but between his filthy mouth, teasing banter, and smoldering looks, there's no way she could resist when given the opportunity. Enzo was as gentle and sweet as he was fierce and demanding and I loved the way that he took what he wanted while giving Eavan the care and adoration that she deserved. The way they fell for each other was perfect and I absolutely loved their HEA.

This story follows Enzo and Eavan. Eavan happens to be Enzo's best friend little sister Cillian and they live together. They take in Eavan to keep her protected from the shit show that will be going down since they just took down from bigger names within the mafia. One thing leads to another and Enzo wants to teach Eavan how to use her bratty mouth properly....wink wink lol

This is my first J.L. Quick book and it definitely won't be my last. I love a good daddy kink and it is done really well. I really enjoyed what a quick mafia read this was as well, but it still included some decent world building within.

Enzo and Eavan's chemistry is off the charts and had me chugging some ICE COLD water. Along with the chemistry they definitely connected more on a deeper level and they both fell quickly for each other.

I was lucky enough to experience this book in duet narration style audio produced by Blue Nose Audio. Shiloh James and William Macleod did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life and portraying the emotions that were happening throughout the book.

I am very excited to continue this series!

I won’t lie, I was pretty board at first. Took me till chapter 30 to get to the fun. There is a lot of spice in the start of the book. But to get to the action and the plot of the story, you have to wait a little. And definitely be ready for the daddy thing bc it is allllll throughout this book. Maybe a little too much lol, but I mean it is the title of the book! Definitely want to know what happens next bc this one ends on a cliffhanger

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and holy hot tamale!!! This is one spicy story. Eavan and Enzo are one explosive story that started with dislike to basically instalove. They fall fast and they fall hard. The spicy scenes are pure fire. The mouth on that man gave me chills over and over. Daddy Enzo is one hot, fiery man. There is a bit of a subplot but in all honesty this story is mostly spice... and I was here for it. The narration by Shiloh James and William Macleod was great. They did a fabulous with this story. All in all, spice, spice, and more spice!!
