Monica

I love the dead—a passion for them if you will. There’s nothing like cutting, collecting, and storing parts of them in jars.

Can you keep a secret for me?

What I’m doing is immoral, but I’ve found someone special to love. If anyone were to find out… You know what? Let’s hope that never happens, because

It’s Illegal!

Jax

I’m a King. If the elegant font scrolled across my breast pocket is any indication of the name I bear, then my arrogance is sure to do the rest.

Want more?

I’ve held hatred in my heart for a long time, and I’m striking while the iron is hot. Vengeance, power plays, and manipulation are what I’m here for. We can even add murder to the table. Nothing is off-limits. Not even my girl’s toy, and...

He’s DEAD.

Holy cow Batman! This book is definitely dark and definitely not something you should read/listen to unless you are completely fine with any and all triggers possible. I mean it warns you in the start of the book lol.

What can I say other than they were made for each other! She’s dark and crosses lines she didn’t think she could. And he makes her realize just what she’s capable of doing. And the fact that she willingly accepts what he does and joins in, it’s just romantic in a sick way haha! But I mean you’ll just have to read and find out for yourself if you dare.

Just remember, your mental health matters, if it’s too much, just stop reading/listening and step away. Move ti a different book and move on if you want!

Wow is all I can say!

Ayden Perry’s Living Dead Girl is a grotesquely fascinating steampunk horror that pushes every imaginable boundary.
Sean Masters’ deep, commanding voice is perfect for Jax, while Raven Wildewood delivers a striking performance as Monica. Their dual narration adds an unsettling intimacy to this twisted tale.
The story begins with Jax unaliving his corrupt twin brother, Jeremy, and assuming his identity as a doctor. Monica, an outcasted loner, runs her family's funeral home as the mortician. One night, she is brought a "Johnny", whom she becomes obsessed with. If you've read the triggers, you know what happens next.
From there, manipulation, depravity, and shockingly dark humor weave through a story that somehow still manages to be an unconventional love story.
Ayden Perry’s writing is as outrageous as the plot itself, with terms like “creamy love,” “popsicle,” "kebob", and “Pringles can” making already shocking moments even more absurd. This book is not for the faint of heart. Read the trigger warnings. But if you can handle extreme horror with a side of pitch-black comedy, Living Dead Girl is absolutely BRILLIANT.

Brilliant!
