Publisher's summary

"Glass weaves a taut web of suspicion, murder and revenge in this chilling tale."—Liv Constantine, internationally bestselling author of The Last Mrs. Parrish, on Someone's Listening

From the Edgar Award-nominated author of On a Quiet Street comes a shocking thriller about secrets…and the lengths some people will go to keep them.

Grace Holloway keeps to herself. Since narrowly escaping death at the hands of the man who kidnapped her, she’s thrown herself into the small inn she runs in Rock Harbor, Maine. It’s quiet, quaint and, in the off-season, completely isolated—the perfect place for Grace to keep her own secrets.

But Grace isn’t the only one with something to hide, and Rock Harbor isn’t just a sleepy vacation town. Someone is taking young women—girls who look an awful lot like Grace did when she was kidnapped so many years ago.

When a surge of disappearances brings the investigation to her door, Grace finds herself unwillingly at the center of it all and doing everything she can to keep her distance. Because Grace knows something…something that could change everything. And when the truth comes to light, getting justice for the vanished might be more than Grace can handle alone…

Looking for another heart-pounding thriller? Find out how far the shady residents of the Sycamores will go to keep the stranger in their midst from uncovering their deadly secrets in bestselling author Seraphina Nova Glass’s upcoming thriller, THE VACANCY IN ROOM 10!

Just okay

This was confusing at times with a lot of characters and wasn't sure of the timing and how this all was going to come together. It somewhat came together but not fully.
Accents were not great and also added to confusion as they came and went in one sentence. Otherwise narration was OK.
The very end was the best part of the story, if I had to pick something.

Interesting story

Narrator ruined the book for me. I'll go to the public library to see if they have it in hardback.

Kept my interest

My first time reading a book by this author. The story kept my interest throughout. The narration was good; even when an accent was needed. I will definitely look into reading more books by this author.

Pretty good

I enjoyed this story. However, I would have enjoyed it more if at least one of the characters wasn’t an emotional wreck leaving me with mixed feelings about them.

Riveting!

This was the best of Ms. Glass’s books I have read to date. You will never guess who abducted the girls. The interesting background stories for each character, made it even more difficult to figure out who was the culprit. I could not stop listening to the story right up to the very end. I like it when there is a clear resolution to a crime. I am not sure I would have agreed with the punishment that was decided on by the group, but it certainly was appropriate for the crimes. You will definitely enjoy this book!

Enjoyable Mystery

Figured it out towards end chapters, but not completely. Was a good mystery with twists. Would recommend at sale price perhaps not full price.

Impressed

I was impressed with this book and author. It kept me guessing over and over on who the suspect was. Wow. I didn't care for the narrator when she did some of the voices. Overall worth listening to. Will check out some other books by this author.

Really really good!

I loved this book and the narrator. It was one of those books that gets better and better as you get into the story, but was good from the start anyway.
