Good start, bad ending

This book really had me from the start. I honestly couldn’t put it down. It had really great potential, and the pace of the book was great. I was really excited for a mind blowing ending but was disappointed. The ending was definitely a cop out and could’ve gone in a better direction. It seemed like the author wanted to shock the reader so much that she didn’t really care if the ending seemed abrupt and out of left field. Overall, super good book, just a somewhat disappointing ending.

Suspension in every chapter

Well written, enjoyed every chapter, it was hard to put down. The author had me at times laughing or saying things out loud, like...she'll never go for that... so I was feeling very involved in this book. Well done!

Meh

The narrator is absolutely terrible. He pauses and inflections and voices and emotions are just terrible. Especially all the “dramatic” pauses are not well placed. Seriously this narrator is the worst.
The story is ok, amateur. A bit all over. Could have been thought out a bit better and then made better. And if the narrator was better it could have overshadowed the errors in the writing. Rather the narrator made it so much worse.

Kept me guessing throughout

Good book overall. Kept my interest throughout and the reader did a good job. I would recommend it.

Just couldn't really get into it

The story was okay. Slow to start and the main character was whiny. She was a little too self pitying for my taste.

such a great story, although the twist at the end I didn't really like nor understand. the motive didn't seem to entirely make sense...but the story itself and the narration was superb! I don't regret having listened to it :)

Another great one by Wendy Walker!

If you haven’t listened to this author you are missing out! There isn’t a “slow” moment! This story grabs you at the start and holds tight!
I can’t wait to start the next book. It’s so exhilarating to find a new(new to me) author
that’s this good.

Emotional Narrator

I'm struggling to finish due to the way the book has been read so far. The narrator is a little too emotional and it gets irritating at times. I'd rather just hear the story and develope my own emotions. Later-the story got better and better and became one of my favorites.
