Story
Foraging involves searching for foods such as edible plants and medicinal herbs in the wild. Humans have always been foragers, at least that was how our forefathers lived. They got edible nourishment from the earth, and this made them very healthy and strong. There are two major classes of edible foods: edible plants, trees, fungi, and weeds. Edible weeds include the weeds that grow in fields, trees, farms, and backyards and are mostly ignored because many have no idea that they can be consumed.

From the early days of raw corn liquor to the myriad distilleries that have proliferated around the country today, bourbon is a symbol of the United States. This course traces bourbon's entire history, from the 1700s, with Irish, Scottish, and French settlers setting up stills and making distilled spirits in the New World, through today's booming resurgence.

In 1973, Secretariat, the greatest champion in horse-racing history, won the Triple Crown. The only horse to ever grace the covers of Time, Newsweek, and Sports Illustrated in the same week, he also still holds the record for the fastest times in both the Kentucky Derby and the Belmont Stakes. He was also the only non-human chosen as one of ESPN's "50 Greatest Athletes of the Century".

Informational yet not overwhelming!
I am so excited to widen the varieties of plants in my garden! Just in time for Spring. The author giving the history of different diets mentioned in the book helped me understand the differences, similarities, benefits, and disadvantages of each. Very informational yet not overwhelming. I am inspired to continue growing my own garden, and eat the food I grow. If you’re wondering what Mediterranean diet is, grab a copy of this book! You’ll learn what is needed to start, and it is doable.
