Fun
This was a fun story and I found myself enjoying the plot. However, Kate Reading, who Inhave enjoyed tremendously in the past, is really not meshing well with me in this series. I had to speed this book up to 1.2 just so she wasn’t so dang slow, but about 3/4 in I had to go up to 1.5 just to get it done.
Glad I read it but not worth a dull credit. Get it on sale or a 2/1.

Excellent listening
Lorraine Heath and Kate Reading did it again....created a masterpiece. Lorraine is one of the best story tellers, I've ever read or listened to. She tells a story that pulls the reader/listener in from the beginning....and keeps us there. Her characters are complex but likeable. Making you one of the family. KR is amazing at interpreting LH's story and making her characters memorable. This book is very well-done. While there are lots of chapters, the story moves quickly...particularly because of the bonding of characters & listeners. Fancy's story will bring you joy as it did me.

Emotional, honest and heartwarming
The narrator was fantastic. Her voice expressed every emotion. The authors style of writing is poetic and her use of language is so beautiful. You feel every emotion whether happy or sad so profoundly. It is a lovely story.

An I ndependent Woman
This story illustrates the maximum that if you raise a child right he/she will know what path to take. I heartily agree with the other reviews. Character development was spot on. Human foibles existed and were addressed. Forgiveness was realistically practiced. This is an excellent story. I have enjoyed the entire series..
