Publisher's summary

I never really thought I’d be captured...

Despite being born an Omega, I refused to spend my life in a facility, waiting for a suitable Alpha to claim me as his. Instead, with the help of my family, I broke the law, hiding among the Betas, trying to live a normal life. I enjoyed five years of freedom...

...then they caught me.

Now I’ve been chosen by Arius, the second most powerful Alpha in Sandor. The moment my scent reached him, overcome by the rut, he had to take me. As his mate, I can have anything my heart desires - anything he has the power to give.

The only thing I don’t have is a choice.

Not bad

I found this to be okay. I'm not sure why but I started to lose interest in the story about half way through and the book isn't very long. I love Marcio Catalano's voice but I generally prefer dual narrators. His voice is really masculine so it's not my favorite for female characters.

Primal Possession

I always crave a good raw Omegaverse book! I actually was assuming it was going to be a little bit darker but wasn't. I really liked the plot but the story seemed so rushed and some background was missing. Overall awesome story. I hope book 2 comes out soon on Audible!
Narration by Marcio Catalano was amazing! Love his deep sexy voice. I could listen to him all day.

Warning needed in the description...

This story is NOT appropriate for anyone who has ever been kidnapped, sexually assaulted, or experienced Stockholm syndrome. All issues are present in this story.
This would be an interesting short story for teaching...all majors dealing with psychology in some way shape or form should read it if they are planning on focusing their major on sex crimes. It would be interesting to find out if students notice the issues.

Typical omega verse story with really bad narration

Ok. This story is what it’s supposed to be, except it’s not really that dark. If you are looking for your typical alpha sniffs omega and they Rut and live happily ever after... this is it. No surprises and the writing is average. If you are new to the genre you might disagree, but I read enough of these stories to feel I can say it. What is awful was the narration. His female voices sounded like Tina from Bob’s burger. They all sound so fake. Also the protagonist comes out monotoned. Just Makes for a dry listen. I think I would have thought better of the book of I had read it.

Musky Contracting Trembling Buttocks

This is some horny run of the mill omegaverse smut. It follows every trope and has approximately 7 adjectives it uses ad nauseum. Bought it for a long car ride. Definitely kept us awake and laughing.

Hot

Alpha/omega relationships are so darn hot. Love Marcio’s narration of characters; especially male characters! The storyline was interesting; I swear men are the same no matter where they are!

Boring

Omegaverse

Hero: BORING!! Hes not Alpha material. He wasn’t aggressive or dominating or anything. He was just boring, one dimensional.

Heroine: She was boring, and had no fight or passion in her about anything.

Best part of the book: The writing was well done, While I didn’t read this one and did the audible version (which Im not happy about spending a credit on this book) the words did flow well with one another and the story line was fluid.

Worst part of the book: The story itself. When I read / listen to Omegaverse , I expect and want a very dominating , aggressive Alpha. This guy was just boring.

No substance

Either rushed or just not the right fit for the genre it is written under. The story could have just been rushed since there was no build up. The dark parts weren’t any difference from shifter fiction marketing as omega verse.

A bit of a disappointment

Tabitha Black really failed to develop this Omegaverse world so it let the entire story down. The unrest of the Betas was just swept aside, the reason for all the dynamics to live the way they do was never explained, and the political/justice system left vague. The only thing that made this Omegaverse was the use of the typical terms: rut, pur, growl, knot, slick, etc. Nothing in the actions - she was too stupid to live most of the time which would've been ok if she wasn't introduced as some sort of independent Omega and the Alpha was just some toned dude who seemed less competent than his Beta guard (he seriously couldn't find his own Omega in the building -like what?).

It wasn't a horrible story, but I wouldn't really count it a good Omegaverse. Also, this isn't Marcio Catalano's best work and I'm not sure if it was rushed production or the poor story, but it just lacked quality narration.
