Publisher's summary

One minute I’m walking back home from a nightclub. The next, I’m waking up in a cage.

Abducted by aliens. Given to an alien race. Put up for auction. But instead of being sold to the highest bidder, I'm rescued by one of the Brutal Ones: the biggest, baddest bullies in the universe.

But it's not a rescue. Not really. My rescuer makes it clear he wants something in return for saving my life....

...an Omega.

Me.

Khan & Emma

This is truly a good story. There is a lot of s&m unrealistic sex that eventually manages to become cringy & boring at the same time. Emma was too quick to become compliant/submissive, it came off as desperate. She is very annoying & manipulative/selfish; Khan deserves so much better than that entitled chick. Other than that the storyline is excellent and Khan truly made this book worth listening to the very end. The narrator managed both voices but two narrators would of been great. Despite the annoying female MC, I will continue to listen to the other books in this series.

Understanding

Emma finds out she is an omega to an alien king, Khan. Her duty is to sire heirs. Having no choice when she accidently falls in a portal on an alien planet has her missing her life and Earth. It isn't until given a chance to return to her homeworld does Emma realize what Khan means to her.
This is my first time listening to Jasper Woodcock. I found his voice wonderful. He put passion and individuality to the characters.

Been There, Done That

Kept falling asleep. Heard it all before. Narrator did a good job. Didn't try to use falsetto for women's voice, just lowered and softened his tone which worked better.

Great audio book!

Emma goes through a portal, and winds up on an alien planet. She wakes up in a cage. Emma, and other females are auctioned off to the highest bidder. Emma is the lucky one, she is rescued by an alpha. Con realizes that Emma is his fated mate. Emma does not understand that esteris, means going into heat. Con goes into rut, and has sex with Emma several times a day. Emma is taken to the palace to live with Con. She is not happy, and wants to go back home to earth. What happens next? You have to listen to the audio book! The narrator did a fantastic job with the characters. The book is very engaging, and enjoyable. I received this audio book to review.

Great!

Story was great and the characters (especially khan) were good. My only complaint is the narrator has difficulty with female voices. Probably would be fine with dual narrators or a different male narrator.

Better than I expected

This book is a great mix of smut sex screens, drama and love. One reviewer didn’t like Emma’s attitude but I thought it was realistic. The story doesn’t go very deep and the smut sex is not super imaginative but it satisfies. My only complaint is how short it was. The narrator was good. He wasn’t breathy or over dramatic. Over all it was a solid 4 out of 5

Great start for a new series

This is a great start for a new Omegaverse series.

After initially being frightened by her kidnappers with stories of the “brutal ones,” Emma’s introduction to Khan was anything but sweet. It definitely lived up to the brutal stories regarding his species.

As a king on his planet, Khan has been searching the universe for an omega that would be compatible with his species. When he finds Emma, he realizes that not only has he found an Omega, he has found his mate.

This book definitely sizzles. As any truly good Omegaverse romance should. Khan and Emma are well suited.

I look forward to the next in this series. While Khan was a kind, well adjusted individual, the next king came across as quite the spoiled, entitled rich kid. I expect he will have quite a time as his omega brings him to heel.

The narrator of this book did a great job!

I loved it🥰🥰🥰

The Narrator's were great! Had a good story! Plenty of sexy time! 🔥🔥🔥 Nothing like a strong sexy male. Can't wait for book too!

Good, but not great

I like this story overall and I think the series has potential. I just wanted a bit more from it and I can't quite place what is missing, but it just felt incomplete or lacking as an Omegaverse story. For me, the Omegaverse bar was set with Milana Jack's sic-fi Alpha Hord series, so I'll admit I'm might be a bit bias here. Regardless, it caught my interest and plan on listening to the next book when it comes to Audible.

As for the narration, I like Jasper Woodcock, but wish there was dual narration with a female narrator. Most of the book was from the FMC perspective so it would have been nice to have that more feminine voice. However, since Vitruvian Sound is involved, I'll count it as good fortune that the horrible voice of Natasha Lawless isn't part of this production. Like Jasper, she seems to be a studio favorite and she is just not good and I'll bail on the series if she gets added.

Since I'm complaining now, might as well add that Lee Savino seems to use Vitruvian for her books and honestly I wish she wouldn't. Much like all their other productions, you will find parts of the story repeat. It's not nearly as bad as it could be, but once again their quality control is inept.

TL;DR - it's good enough that I'll listen to the next book if the sound production company doesn't fck it up.

Alien Romance…my new trope!?

I quite enjoyed this…I’ve been on an alien romance trope whirlwind of late. Most have been good, a few were “say what now” lol those might have been a little tougher to finish. All in all this might be the next series I immerse myself in…along with my ice planets aliens and naga brides of course lol!!!
