Holy Hot Omegaverse!!

Holy hotness! Ruthless King by Ailson Aimes was intense, steamy, and absolutely out of this world! This was my first book in this Omegaverse genre, and I was not at all disappointed. I was completely consumed by Nikolai and Dahlia’s fated-mate love story.

Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter narrate this audiobook in duet style. (Which I love!) Jason Clarke’s performance of Nikolai commanded your attention with his deep domineering, growly alpha voice! Stella Hunter did a fantastic job portraying Dahlia’s passionate and determined personality, plus her lustful and loving attraction to Nikolai. Both narrators did an amazing job of making the listener feel completely enraptured by Nikolai and Dahlia’s destined red hot chemistry!

Overall I enjoyed Nikolai and Dahlia’s story. I loved how both characters are tested and have to really think about what they want and how to achieve it. Every twist and turn in this omegaverse romance left me wanting to know more. Thank you Alison for introducing me to a whole new world with dominant sexy alphas and desirous obedient omegas. I am looking forward to more in the Ruthless Warlord series!

The Alpha and Omega Dynamic

Traditionally the alpha omega dynamic can be difficult for me to become engaged; however I liked how these characters were more than their nature.
The alpha, although driven by his aggressive and lusting nature was more, felt more and did more
The omega was also more than subservient but had her own mind
I do live the fated mate troupe
I loved the secondary characters and look forward to the rest of the series with more wonderful narrators

Pretty Decent

Compared to some of the disappointing audiobooks I've listened to lately, this was pretty decent. Did it keep my interest? Mostly. Interesting/ creative MC's? Pretty decent. What would have made it a 5-star? I could do without the insta-lust that was a bit of an eye roller. I'm all for some steamy sexy times, but not if it serves no purpose other than to qualify as erotica/ romance. Plot was decently paced and wasn't completely predictable. I listen to a LOT of audiobooks so maybe I'm being overly picky but if you're looking for your next favorite book ever this isn't it. It will, however, pleasantly entertain you.

Loved it

The story kept me interested. Lots of steamy scenes so I hope you like it down and dirty. It is definitely a dark omegaverse. Women are possessions and not always treated kindly so be aware of that if it is a trigger. I enjoyed the characters more than I thought I would. I absolutely fell for Nikolai and his family. I was very happy with the approach the story took with the relationship between him and Dahlia. I also thought Dahlia was a solid character. Considering her upbringing and what the universe is like, her reactions make sense. The voice actors are awesome. They give each character its own tone and wow, Jason made Nikolai sound soooo good.
I look forward to more of this storyline.

Ruthless King was Fantastic

A fantastic story and so were the characters. This is so 🥵. Narrators did a fantastic job also on this audiobook.

Very great listen

I agree with everyone else who says there is no rape in this story. Anyone who truly reads and understands omega verse books will know it’s biological connection before it’s a mental. His Alpha responded to her omega even if they didn’t like each other very much yet.

Also they’re FATED mates. So add their biology and fate together and voila lol you got irresistible touches, licks, bites, penetration, etc.

The narration was done good. The storyline was really great. Definitely continuing the series.

Gets better and better

The book literally just kept getting better and better and better. There is nothing worse than a book that starts out good then loses your interest to the point you don’t even finish it. this book is the opposite, it goes from good to great. The story was great and detailed, the author built this entire detailed galaxy in my mind. 5 stars loved it

Mind blowing voices.

I loved it and would listen to it over and over again. The voices feel like they match the characters.

I want the rest of the series in audio

I literally finish these in a day or so good and I have had a hard time reading but I love audiobooks
and I’m pleading pleading with the author to put the rest of the series into an audiobook format please I grante I will buy the whole series
