So much wonderful information

I have an highly functional autistic grandson and this book taught me so much about him and why he behaves the way he does. He does not like crowds, loud music and new places. I now understand. I love the teaching methods she talks about to help them feel more comfortable in society. This is a must read for parents, teachers and anyone who works with children on the autism spectrum. I will listen to it many times!

A lot of valuable information!

If you are a parent and have an autistic child or a friend or family member you need to buy this audiobook. There’s so much valuable content that you’re going to learn. For example, I never knew that autistic teens and children are very sensitive to odors and different kinds of strong smells also I didn’t know the importance creating consistent routines.

Eye opening

My partner has a younger brother who has High Spectrum Autism. When we walk in public places he could easily throw a tantrum and is super sensitive to loud noise and crowded places. i got this book so i could understand what he was going through and to put myself in his shoes and my god it was so eye opening. It taught me different ways on how to approach and talk to him and can already see a difference and our bond has grown stronger

Spectrum of Autism breakdown

The author gives lots of insights on how autism can develop and affect those who may not even know they have autism (like Steve Jobs). Gives tips on how to address these mental issues. I feel like you can benefit from this even if you don’t have autism.

So Sad I Didn’t Know This When My Child Was Growing Up

I don’t think my child suffered all these symptoms, but something was really going on. When you know some of these things it helps you understand how to better respond to certain behaviors with love and patience rather than disciplinary actions and harshness. I feel a sense of guilt and wonder if this may be the reasons why there are some tensions in our relationship
