Informative guide for parenting children with ADHD

This book is well written, well narrated, and engaging. It breaks down exactly how ADHD can present in children and teaches parents several ways to create structure in the home. The author gives several tips for focusing on building a positive, supportive relationship with your child. I can imagine a lot of frustration and stress comes with parenting a child who has ADHD, and this book is an excellent resource to help parents learn what triggers their children may have and to learn to parent from a place of empathy and positivity.

Thankful for this book!

This book is so valuable to me. Two of my grandchildren have ADHD and I found this audiobook to be very informative. I have no prior experience for dealing with this at all! Of course, I love these children and I was at a total loss as to how to deal with their outbursts. Now I am beginning to understand and I am much more at ease with them, especially when I’m babysitting them on my own.

I am very grateful to the author for providing me with some guidance. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who is looking for more information on ADHD.

ADHD Bible!

This is a great book for anyone raising a child with ADHD. It is very comprehensive and sensitive to what ADHD children need. I raised an ADHD child and I wish this book would have been available back when I first became a mom. A must have for any parent or grandparent with an ADHD child.

Good book

The book starts out by giving a general explanation of ADHD and how it may cause children to act out violently. After that, the author examines typical factors that lead to irrational outbursts, including irritation, exhaustion, and sensory overload, and offers helpful advice for recognizing and controlling these factors.

Finally a path to peace!

I think all parents can relate to a kid throwing a tantrum, but a child with ADHD’s tantrum is much harder to deal with. It is incredibly helpful to have these strategies but even more helpful that the author explains both how and when to employ them. I will be able to have a healthier and happier relationship with my son now, because having tools to manage his behavior keeps me from losing my mind when he is freaking out. These tools will be helpful both now when he is still a second grader and as he grows older. Thank you so much for writing this book!

Disruptive children are never easy especially if they have ADHD on top of it. The information in the book seems solid if it were applied correctly to children with these emotional issues. I found some of the points to be very insightful for those of us who are trying to figure out what's wrong with a child.
