Definitely a must read for any parent.

I’m a FTM and felt so overwhelmed before finding this book. Something about this book validated all of my emotions. The good and bad but made me understand it’s okay to feel this way and how to cope. A lot of the things I already knew but hearing it from someone else that is not related to you. Or someone you know in a way calms you. I definitely will be re-listening to whenever I am feeling stressed and recommend this to any parent no matter what stage your child is in.

Therapy for parents

This audiobook takes the useful perspective that it is the parents who are the problem, not the kids. Yet this anger does not define who the parents are. This audiobook encourages parents to understand their own triggers, or the mechanisms of their own anger, which has something to do with the parents' upbringing and treatment by their own parents. Now having children of their own, the parents make it worse for the children and hurt the children by projecting their own frustrations and not properly understanding their children's anger. Also provided are checklists and routines parents can implement to help themselves, so they can help their children.

Great read

I love the honesty of the book. It's relatable. My childhood was pretty traumatic. I don't want my kids to grow up the way I did. I try so hard to parent differently, but I frequently find myself acting like my parents. I'm looking forward to implementing things I've learned in the book to help break the cycle. The book is worth the read!

A must read for all parents!

This book is amazing, as a mom of 6 kids I have received a lot of parenting advice over the years. This book trumps it all, it is well written and very down to earth, just like having a conversation with a dear friend. There is no judgment, just love and very caring advice. I found this book a great read, and very relatable. I had many breakthroughs and ideas to help my parenting and to connect better with my children and improve our relationships and my parenting. A treasured author in my life. Thank you for writing this.
