It seems the world doesn’t comprehend the current situation in Israel, so someone needs to explain, in English, what’s really going on here. Yoseph Haddad was busy, so we settled on the (un)suitable pair for the task - stand-up comedians Shahar Hason & Yohay Sponder.

In today’s show: Shahar was occupied with a pre-booked show. That being so, comedians Yonatan Barak and Noa Manor, who just so happen to live together and share two kids, joined us for a special episode with Sponder. We reminisced about experiences from Barcelona (and the steak Sponder ate while vegan), planned a wrestling match for the title of “Comedy World Champion”, talked about Didi Harari, and asked tough questions such as - how many people are there in Yonatan Barak’s head? Why did Sponder lock the team in the studio? Why is advocacy (“Hasbara”) important? How the hell is Keren Peles related to the Iranian president’s helicopter crash??!

נראה שהעולם לא לגמרי מבין מה קורה בישראל. אז צריך שמישהו יסביר לו. באנגלית. יוסף חדאד היה עסוק, אז נאלצנו להתפשר על שני האנשים הכי (לא) מתאימים למשימה - הסטנדאפיסטים שחר חסון ויוחאי ספונדר.

והיום: שחר היה עסוק בהופעה שנקבעה מראש, לכן יונתן ברק ונועה מנור, הקומיקאים שלגמרי באופן מקרי גם גרים באותו הבית וחולקים שני ילדים הצטרפו אלינו לפרק מיוחד ביחד עם ספונדר.

על חוויות מברצלונה (והסטייק שספונדר הטבעוני אכל), קרב היאבקות על תואר ״אלוף העולם בקומדיה״, דידי הררי, וגם שאלות קשות כמו כמה אנשים יש בתוך הראש של יונתן ברק? איך הגענו למצב שיוחאי כלא את כל הנוכחים באולפן? למה צריך הסברה? ואיך לעזאזל קרן פלס קשורה להתרסקות המסוק של נשיא איראן?!?!

In today’s show: Actor, comedian, and musician Idan Alterman joined us in the studio to talk about his acting origins, starring in the show “Flat Foot” with Avi Grayinik. He reveals his real standup inspiration (spoiler: Shahar & Yohay). Furthermore: how did Australia stoop as low as Jewish hate parties?

Shahar reveals he had a stalker during a wild conversation about the hit show “Baby Reindeer”. We’ll wrap it all up with a special performance in which Leonard Cohen meets none other than Ishay Levi.

והיום: השחקן, הקומיקאי והמוזיקאי עידן אלתרמן מגיע להתארח ולדבר על תחילת דרכו בתכנית המערכונים "פלטפוס" יחד עם אבי גרייניק ומגלה מי היו ההשראה האמיתית שלו לעשות סטנדאפ על במה (ספויילר: שחר ויוחאי) וגם: איך מגיעים למסיבת שנאת יהודים באוסטרליה?!

שחר חושף את הסטוקרית שהייתה לו בעבר בתוך שיחה אמוציונלית שנותנת את נקודת המבט של הקומיקאים על הסדרה "Baby Reindeer”.

Yoseph Haddad was busy, so we settled on the (un)suitable pair for the task - stand-up comedians Shahar Hason & Yohay Sponder. Today: Miri Mesika managed to clear two hours off her busy schedule to come to our studio, but didn’t just settle for any regular visit - she asked our team to fulfill a long-time dream of hers. What kind of dream? A dreamy redhead with a British accent - the kind that doesn’t let antisemites off the hook (and even had one locked up). So, because you just can’t say no to Miri Mesika and her dreams, we also welcomed the screenwriter and 'hasbara' hero, Lee Kern (Borat 2)! We talked about Seder night, Israeli history and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (turns out Miri really knows her stuff), then heard about the radical changes that took over the UK these last few months.

As if that’s not enough - we’ll finish the episode with a couple of hits by Miri which we all know and love, including a special debut (!!!) of her new song, written in honour of all who lost their lives at the Nova festival.

🎤 מירי מסיקה, לי קרן ("בוראט 2") | החלום של מירי מסיקה התגשם!

נראה שהעולם לא לגמרי מבין מה קורה בישראל. אז צריך שמישהו יסביר לו. באנגלית. יוסף חדאד היה עסוק, אז נאלצנו להתפשר על שני האנשים הכי (לא) מתאימים למשימה - הסטנדאפיסטים שחר חסון ויוחאי ספונדר. והיום: מירי מסיקה הצליחה לפנות שעתיים מהלו״ז שלה ונחתה אצלנו באולפן, אבל היא לא הסתפקה בסתם ביקור - רגע לפני כן היא ביקשה מהצוות שלנו שיגשימו לה חלום. איזה חלום? חלום ג׳ינג׳י עם מבטא בריטי, אחד כזה שלא פוסח על אף אנטישמי בממלכה (גם הכניס אחד כזה לכלא).

אז בגלל שאי אפשר לסרב למירי מסיקה, הגשמנו לה את החלום והצלחנו לגייס אלינו גם את התסריטאי ולוחם ההסברה לי קרן (״בוראט 2״)!

נדבר על חוויות מליל הסדר, ההיסטוריה של מדינת ישראל והסכסוך הישראלי פלסטיני (נגלה לכם שמירי אכן בקיאה בחומר) ונשמע קצת על השינוי הקיצוני שבריטניה עוברת בחודשים האחרונים.

ואם זה לא מספיק - נסיים עם שני להיטים מטורפים של מירי שכולנו מכירים, ועוד ביצוע מרגש בטרום בכורה (!!!) לשיר החדש לזכר הנופלים ממסיבת הנובה.
