Great guided relaxation, but it’s not Zen

Over the years I’ve read many books on Zen, and listen to tons of audio and watch tons of videos. Thousands of hours all up. All this content has come from many different gurus.
I guess there is no exact definition of Zen, but there are a lot of things that are consistent with Zen, and positive affirmations is not one of them. I’ve actually never seen a Zen master or guru use positive affirmations. But I have heard them talk against it.
Part of my interpretation of Zen is; excepting the way things are and not trying to manifest “positivity“ or manifest any type of pleasant emotion. It seems that with Zen practice, by embracing all emotions and sensations, pleasant and unpleasant, The more one more experience pleasant feelings throughout life
